Power kicked in for about 10 seconds, and then I went outside and heard two loud bangs and power went out again. Maybe coincidence, but I’m guessing shit blew up when they turned it all back on. The substation isn’t that far, so if transformers blew it could be what I heard.

Have you shut off the water to the house yet? If you do that and keep your taps open you should be fine.

I debated this, and ended up keeping faucets open. It ended up working for us, so far. Maybe we got lucky.

Not yet, we still have a little bit of pressure and are trying to collect a little bit more water for boiling. But me and a few of the neighbors are going to shut off our main And drain the lines the best we can to get rid of the pressure in case it freezes.

my neighbors rock. Only a few pussies in the whole group, but for the most part these are some salt of the earth people ?
