I want this to be good so bad but everyone swears it's bad.
Same. I was very excited but the stuff I'm reading makes me sad to the point I don't wanna even watch it. The first one is one of my favourite movies.
It broke my heart.
But them being blatant and using product sponsorships in the first few minutes let me know it was going to be rough. All, ALL, of the forced cameos felt awkward.
It was way closer to Norbit or one of those Eddie Murphy movies than it was to the original.
Can anyone think of a sequel done many years after the original, starring members of the original cast, which wasn't an absolute money grabbing shitshow?

TUF season 1-8 right now, It's a cool show and all, who could forget Junie Brownings little brother coming on to the show for example and having an egg fight.
One thing that I found odd was some fighter who basically passed out on the threadmill almost head first into the ground after cutting weight and Dana tells him "Yeah you should fucking know by now how this fucking show works idiots".
Then after he didn't make the weight after passing out multiple times, Dana explains the situations to him
"So you basically quit"
"well I couldn't cut the weight"
"Yea you fucking quit"
It's great that a guy with such a LENGTHY history of fighting and weight cutting can teach the whole world about weight cutting... I mean it's not like he was just a celebrity boxing coach who never had an actual fight before...

Until this week I'd never considered it a black comedy. Just a funny 80s movie with Eddie murphy at his peak. Apparently there's only one white dude in it and they were forced to put him in. I couldn't give a fuck tbh, it's just a really good movie to me.

I was thinking of movies years after the original where the main characters were the stars again. That's why I was glad they never made a Ghostbusters 3 years after the fact, many people were mad Bill Murray wouldn't agree to it, but I think it was the correct call.
Murray totally fucked up any goodwill I had towards him for doing a cameo in, and helping to promote, the fucking abortion that was the 2016 remake though.

Not as good as the Ottoman Empire and Roman Empire series (which were effin awesome), but it was a decent 6 episodes. Watched the last 3 today, which says a lot since I am constantly battling the urge to turn off the TV and read or audiobook
