General Is there a precedent for this in major league baseball since Babe Ruth?

I’ve never been more impressed watching anyone that isn’t a part of the champion Red Sox

he was facing the fuckoffs in the last few days and pitchers can’t figure him out to the point where the fuckoffs’ reliever tried to slow down his delivery to about 5 plus seconds holding his leg in the air and ohtani called timeout as the pitcher was in suspended animation and he just laughed in a friendly way

then the next pitch the fuckoffs reliever tried to fast pitch him
He made an out but just laughed the whole thing off.

can’t wait until the Red Sox trade for him.

No he’s a once in 100 year talent. If he stays healthy I’m curious to see the contact he eventually gets.
Sat behind home plate and watched him the night before ufc 263
I wouldn't go so far as to say "Once in 100". Once in 50, maybe.

He's impressive.

Sucks that 2 of the best players in MLB play on the west coast in the wrong league.

I haven't watched NBA or MLB for well over 10 years.

I don't read or watch sports news content.

I watch NFL games and I watch MMA/Combat Sports events...I don't consume much of their media either...I just watch the events/games themselves.

On a team that just can't win.
I don't follow them close enough to know what their deal is. I'm assuming pitching outside of Ohtani.

Would love for the Angels to make the playoffs just to get to watch Ohtani and Trout in a nationally televised series.

I'm talking historically... They're a fine team in the AL West but that really doesn't mean much.

I think they've won the AL once? Ever.
