I worked a full day in record temperatures, while most of you pussies stayed inside. I do HVAC work for reference.
Had a couple hours to burn in Philly so I did what any red blooded American would do.
Went to Jim’s and got a cheese steak.
Ran the Rocky stairs and saw the statue.
Then shadow boxed for an hour and a half.
I did it in the wrong order Cheesesteak + Rocky stairs = Side ache
...but i out toughed it.

A few doors down from my work there's a kebab place that is open late, and every night seagulls come from all over the city to hang out there at closing time because the owner feeds them the leftover chips. Every night they hang out on the street squawking and getting into fights with each other. They're just one of nature's criminal animals.

I suppose I could have posted this in the parenting thread, but since I am in here:
Last weekend I bought my son (7) his first compound bow (it's a youth set up with only like 13.5 lbs draw weight). He has been super stoked about it and has been practicing every day when I get home from work. I cut off a tube sock that he uses for his arm guard haha, and I ordered a cheap quiver off of amazon (kids love their accessories!). I am very pleased to say that he is doing incredibly well, it just clicked with him. He hasn't shown too much interest in his Red Ryder bb gun - he'll shoot a few and then be done. Once he gets frustrated by not hitting everything, he doesn't care to continue. Because of that I didn't know how he'd take to the bow, but he can't seem to get enough! Of course he has a wild shot here and there, but overall I am pretty impressed at the grouping he is doing. I was recording a video of him shooting the other day and he drilled a bullseye so I shouted "BULLSEYE!!" and he just turned around and looked at me like "yeah, no shit dad what did you think was going to happen" lol
I have another dozen arrows on the way that should get here this weekend, and I think I'm going to get a second target for him. I think I am going to get myself a bow now too. I haven't shot in a really long time, but man it is still a ton of fun!

Archery is a sore spot for me, because I once was excited for an archery/fishing/wastrel weekend in the country with some friends, one of whom took his shit serious and had multiple bows....... but none of them lefthanded. So that sucked.
