side note about the vaccine

i have no gotten the vaccine yet as i am self-employed and dont want to risk having to take a couple days off if i get a little sick

but with that said, theres a big flaw going around about the vaccine right now from right wing politicians, pundits, and influencers

and thats that people who have gotten the vaccine still show positive with the virus

and they are right. that happens. but its a very misleading argument

the vaccine wasnt designed to prevent infection. it was designed to prevent symptomatic disease

in other words, they were not designed to prevent people from being infected. they were designed to save lives of those who are infected and simultaneously prevent the spread of the virus

I don't know about where you are, but that's the crux of the social program problem around these parts. Our local housing prices have gotten to the point that the middle class struggles to buy a home, which was always a benchmark of being middle class. The local municipal government talks about needing affordable housing but not having any money for it. They then turn around and give a $3 million grant for a company to build a new Porsche dealership. Taxes wouldn't bother me if I ever felt they were being used for things that were worthwhile.
