I’ve cracked the code. I could feed the whole village with a day’s work.

I don't think it's any coincidence that my fishing has exploded since ShatsBassoon @ShatsBassoon has left the country. Now that Canadian fish know that they aren't going to be subjected to any weird sex stuff, they are less hesitant to take a lure.

We only get them 3 months a year when they escape your cold winters, so fuckin dork "birdwatchers" go to wildlife areas and set up cameras close to firebush plants and other flowering plants hummingbirds like.

I thought it was a bit much but seeing one really does have a magical feeling.

Hopefully you've finally put some curtains up in your house so nature's little angels don't fly into your window death trap.

I tried to learn how to ride an e-foil yesterday. It was kind of tricky, but it was fun. In this video this is the exact board/model my buddy has. I was never able to get all the way standing upright on my feet, but I was able to get up on my knees or squatting or sitting on the board. It was kind of wild cruising around the lake hovering above the water. Getting up out of the water is the hardest part, when you hit the throttle the nose dives up hard. You hold a pistol-grip style controller in one hand that has a throttle trigger. You have to brace for that nose kicking up, and then it levels out once you're lifted. Wild shit....its good to have friends with toys!

I was also curious after playing on the e-foil yesterday...and I was a bit stunned at the price. The brand of the one I rode was Lift. They are about $12k....

Here is a pic:
The part at the top with the wires is the "brain". And then there is a big lithium ion battery pack that takes up the rest of the space in there.

There are much less expensive ones out there, or you try a wingfoil, it's easier than it looks

Wild. I didn’t know a wingfoil was a thing.

but a fast motor seems a lot cooler, right? ?

it was fun cruising around on the foil, but I’m happy to use my buddies. I didn’t think they would be quite as expensive as I discovered. I already have expensive toys/hobbies, I can’t handle another haha

Nice fish!

Fyi, there are plastic boots called "waders" that prevent you from getting your fucking shoes, socks, and feet sopping wet like that.

The more you know.
Those pants look like waders to me. Mine look similar. And they also have boots designed to go over the style that have built in socks (and the look like hiking boots, but drain).

I would think someone that goes fly fishing like him has it figured out!

but who knows, maybe he likes wet feet.

this reminds me, I need to get some new waders soon. I have the bib style now, which work great but this time of year they’re hot, however in the winter months it’s fine and kind of welcome. But I may go with just the pants style next time as I rarely need to get in over the waist for what I mostly use them for.
