The corporatist Dems are the centrist Dems and the electable Dems. The Nina Turners are fringe, extremely divisive and openly racist, and more interested in performative activism than in actually governing.
The progressive's performance in elections has been hopeless.
If the progressives' preferred candidates had won their primaries, then Dems would have lost both Georgia elections and therefore the Senate, and now 100% of their preferred policy changes are off the table. That's a fail, and everyone who voted for them is now objectively worse off than if they had voted for the corporatist Dem.
I mean, I liked Warren a lot better than Biden and I think that her policies (in general) would have been better for the average American. But her campaign was a disaster. She tied herself in knots pointlessly trying to get onside with the woke racists and their Twitter followers, and what did it get her? She looked a fool, and handed a loaded gun to her GOP opponents. Think she would have beaten Trump head to head? She would have gotten crushed, and then everyone gets 4 more years of the orange idiot clown. At a certain point, you gotta deal with how things are. Cory Booker putting pressure on Joe Biden and influencing Biden's decisions is good. That's how it's supposed to work. At one point, Booker and Biden were on the same footing. Both on stage at the debates. The public decided they liked Biden better. So Biden's the man, and Booker (as a minority-support power base within the party) has the opportunity to pick his spots and expend his political capital to influence part of the President's agenda. What's wrong with that?
