Interesting conversation I just had with the MC. All these girls came rushing over trying to get a picture with me as I was talking to him, you know how it is when you look famous. Anyway, did not know the following:
At the low a-level, the managers are told who to play so they can track their progress depending on how much they invested in them.
The field, which is the Pittsburgh pirates spring training grounds, has the exact diameters of PNC Park, as well as the same dirt, grass and grass height that are shipped in to match PNC’s grounds.
That’s a shit load of money.
Grass doesn’t even look real

Rizzo is looking like he's meant to be in pinstripes. Went yard again tonight. Scoring runs. Driving them in.

Also... They may not be the best fielding outfield by a long shot but when Joey Gallo is the smallest guy it's pretty funny. Gallo, Stanton, and Judge looks more like a football team than baseball.

This Yanks/Royals game is one of the strangest ones I've seen.
They went no runs scored through six with numerous strange plays and Aaron Boone getting thrown out over a balk call.
Then the scoring begins. Both teams continue to go shot for shot regardless of how many runs were scored.
In the 11th, the Yanks are up 6-5 with two on and two out. Gardy hits a 101 mph grounder to the shortstop. As he tries to field it, it hits him on the jaw and lays him out. He was down for a while and had to leave the game. The Yanks score two more runs with Gardy at second due the E6.
The Royals put up a run in the bottom of the inning putting them down two. Down to their final strike with a man on first, they get a hit which puts the winning run at the plate, and that guy is their cleanup hitter, Santana. He hits a hopper to third and gets thrown out at first to end the game.
In a very strange game which took five hours to complete, the Yankees win 8-6 in 11 innings.

Yanks/White Sox play at The Field of Dreams tonight in Iowa.
Players will enter the field from the corn in the outfield. Manual scoreboard made of barnwood. I'd assume players will be wearing throwback uniforms.
Should be worth checking out.

Costner slept with cal Ripken’s wife
I was at the game where they cancelled the game because the lights apparently weren’t working “correctly”. I was there and the lights were on but we had to leave.
Apparently, folklore has it that cal Ripken hit his wife and apparently got arrested and wasn’t released to play and it would have ruined his streak so they cancelled the game......I know the lights were working except for one bank that wasn’t on......sure orioles, sure ?
This game will be a no hitter by both teams with the winning team scoring on a walked in run
Heaney is not good. He may give up 5 dingers by the 3rd.
Neither starter gets out of the 5th.
