We actually haven't had a massive need for the vaccine, because after our tyrannical government locked the country down for a month nearly a year and a half ago, the nation has been covid-free with no restrictions and no virus until last week.

We're an insignificant nothing country that nobody gives a shit about, remember? Others have FAR bigger covid problems than we do. I would have liked the vaccine to have been rolled out quicker, but it is what it is. I'm not an at risk demographic, but everyone I know who is, has gotten their jab.
As far as being "done with covid", as far as everyday life goes, we essentially have had the last year living covid-free. That was never likely to be permanent, but we had a good run.
