This guy has to be dead or pretty close to it, surely.

* Not in the city, or his face would have been recognised

* Hundreds of miles away from home and consequently, from the people who might shelter him

* No known skills or experience in bushcraft

* Not even in an area of the country whose geography is familiar to him

He's cooked, surely. Wouldn't surprise me if he had committed suicide a few days ago. If not, he's probably dead or close to it by now anyway.

I bet he blew his brains out while standing in a pond. Then gators ate his corpse. He will never be found

Does he have a gun? If he does, then I'd be pretty confident that's more or less exactly what he did.

If no gun, then it's a bit more complicated. Wouldn't surprise me if he got dehydrated and disoriented, probably made himself sick drinking bad water, and now he's dead under a tree.

Possibly.

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Why do all you self-fellators have to overcomplicate everything? The guy is on the run for his life. Yes, a tent and supply of canned foods will allow him to lay low for a period of time. It's not as hot or wet as CMNH is making it out to be. Inhospitable was a ridiculous choice of word.

I take it you've never been in the Florida woods either?

It's not about dark humor or pushing the line. The tour schtick is just not funny to me. It's try hard edgelord humor to Garner eyes through manufacturing outrage. It seems shallow without a real comedic craft.
It so fucking lazy. It’s embarrassing.

Where did the tent come from?

How's he transporting it?

Where's the fuel for the fire coming from? What's he using to cut it?

What's he drinking? How's he transporting that?

It's 14 year old edgelord shit. He's got nothing to say, there's no greater point being made, he's just being a total cunt and trying to generate some cheap heat so that he can profit off of some total stranger's very real tragedy and misery. Fuck him. I'm all for edgy comedy, but that isn't comedy. Dude is 47 years old ffs, grow the fuck up.

he went to a reserve with his family sept 6-7, and the lawyer said he left the reserve with his parents. but the lawyer did not say that he returned home with his parents

so he could have gotten supplies then

Fair enough.

September 6-7 is over three weeks ago, and if he went to ground in a town or city, somebody would have spotted him by now.

Admittedly I haven't been following the case closely, but camping out in the swamp....... yeah, not a viable survival strategy unless you're an actual legit swamp dweller.

Walmart. $40

Backpack

It's survival, not luxury. Eat it cold.

A fucking knife.

FL is littered with fresh water.

OK.

Anywhere you can buy that stuff, has security cameras pointed at the registers. I assume the cops would have been looking at his parent's movements. But that's neither here nor there.

It's survival, not luxury. Eat it cold.
OK.

How many day's worth of food do you reckon fits in a backpack that already has a tent in it?

A fucking knife.
Cutting firewood with a knife? Okay, have at it......

Those straws aren't magic, you know. They won't turn swamp water into clean water. You drink from a random creek or pond with one of those for a week, you're gonna be shitting your guts out. What makes you think that this asshole is good at living rough?

This is a very important point.

People forget that Laundrie is originally from Long Island. People from the NYC area are uniquely retarded when it comes to survival situations.

He probably cried when he realized the swamp didn't have anywhere he could get a slice of pep.

Why would he light a fire if he's trying to hide? The tempreature is perfect in FL this time of year. The can of beans was to make a point that he doesn't have to forage for berries to sustain himself. How many of these do you think he could fit in a backpack?

How are you so wrong about this?

The temperature finally cooled the fuck down the past few days. But before this week, it was brutally hot (95F/35C) with 70-80% humidity.

And do you know what happens to walking trails in Florida nature reserves in the summer rainy season?

They flood.

You reckon warmth at night is the only thing you need a fire for out in the bush? Not for boiling water or drying clothes and especially socks?

OK then. ?

Google says it's hot and humid in Florida at the moment. Heat makes you sweat more, so you need to drink more. Humidity means your sweat struggles to evaporate....... so you need to drink more. Little straws from Walmart in flooded swamp water and no fire aren't going to cut it, I'm sorry.

The can of beans was to make a point that he doesn't have to forage for berries to sustain himself. How many of these do you think he could fit in a backpack?

With a tent as well?

And at least one container for water?

And a spare pair of socks, and all the tools and bits and pieces he'd need to actually make it for more than a week out there?

Not heaps.

What's the plan when his little packets of fish run out?

He's not going to do anything out there except commit suicide, get caught, or get sick/injured and die. This guy, his goose is cooked sorry.

See that dip early Sept? Upper to mid 80s is vacation weather.

I'm an Aussie. 30 degrees isn't a hot day at all where I come from, but it's hot enough that it'll fuck you up pretty good if you're out in the swamp by yourself for days with nothing but a bag full of plastic tuna sachets. Go do an afternoon's physical work out in the country in 30 degrees and leave your water bottle back at the house, and come back to me and tell me how you're doing.

What exactly do you think he's doing right now, if he's out there? How do you see his situation, outside of his legal troubles?
