at this point, regulation only works to stifle competition and protect the portfolios of industry executives.
the FDA would have to be fundamentally changed over a long period of time for it to be effective at protecting public health from BigPharma and other bad actors. It might be more appropriate to take anti-trust actions against BigPharma intellectual property and dramatically reduce the scope of the FDA's oversight.
