Red Wings first season W, 3-1
When I did watch hockey as a kid, Detroit Red Wings were my team.
Steve Yzerman was the king.
The mid to late 90's glory days of Yzerman, Fedorov, Lindstrom, Konstantinov, Osgood, Draper, Coffey and muther fucking Mcarty and Primeau!
Such great years - the Avalanche Red Wings Rivalry was insane - the Brawl was legendary and after all these years I just found out our old friend Mike Goldberg called that game for the Red Wings long before his UFC days.

Couple more of those and the NHL will implement full face cages. Fist ok, helmets not ok.
I’m pretty sure being a Canucks fan is what made me stop watching hockey for a decade. I know the newer teams can really benefit from my support and LV is fun to watch. Fuck it I’m onboard.
