and that patient care has improved over the last 2 years
Do you know how we know that?
and that patient care has improved over the last 2 years
Because you've told us it has.Do you know how we know that?
Remember how the whole ventilator thing went down, that doesn't seem accurate.Because of randomized controlled trials
98% of people being hospitalized in this last round were unvaccinated. That's real world. And that has nothing to do with patient care. The context of my statement was another poster stating that we know deaths and hospitalizations are down because of vaccination. We don't know that. That does not mean that the vaccine didn't work in trials, that means that the real world doesn't use controls.
People also seem to forget that the covid hospitalization rate is 1-5%, and that patient care has improved over the last 2 years.
Unvaccinated people are also more likely to go to super spreader events where they spit in each others mouths. Vaccinated people are less likely to do risky shit where they might get covid. That can't be ignored when you're talking about this.98% of people being hospitalized in this last round were unvaccinated. That's real world.

You honestly believe that figure to be accurate enough to hold as a narrative and repeat over and over again?
Do you believe that every hospital in the world lied about it?You honestly believe that figure to be accurate enough to hold as a narrative and repeat over and over again?
98% lolDo you believe that every hospital in the world lied about it?
Many states publish their own numbers. Check it out if you'd like.98% lol
cmon kicker, you know better than that
Where did you get your 98% figure from? Do you trust this source?
You are willing to consider other numbers nowMany states publish their own numbers. Check it out if you'd like.
The number may be closer to 90-95% now.
is that this year, or counting back to Mar 2020?98% of people being hospitalized in this last round were unvaccinated. That's real world. And that has nothing to do with patient care.
wow. people still consider Fauci a source of reliable information?
they became common replacements for menus as COVID wore on.
I have no idea. I pulled that number from memory. Upon being challenged by rambonuthugger I changed it to 90-95% after finding an article that I didn't actually read. Feel free to do the research and correct me. But I would bet that I'm pretty damn close to being right.is that this year, or counting back to Mar 2020?
the only time I've seen the "98%" included data for when the vaccine wasn't available for everyone.View attachment 53886

Unvaccinated COVID-19 patients in hospital nearly 20 years younger than vaccinated patients | RIVM
The chance that a fully vaccinated person with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 will be admitted to hospital is 17 times lower than for a non-vaccinated person. The chance of ICU admission for a fully vaccinated person is 33 times lower.www.rivm.nl
average daily unvaccinated 12-49 yos (per 100k) admitted to the hospital in the Netherlands:
Zero.
age and health has a lot more to do with hospitalization than vaccination status.85%+ of the adult population vaccinated.
Longstanding travel restrictions with testing requirements in quarantine requirements. A local populace that has taken this fairly seriously since the beginning. It is used to more community think and less individual thinking.
I'd be relatively surprised if the unvaccinated had an opportunity to get infected very often.
