You must have forgotten about Reagan...What an epic disaster. Worst POTUS in my lifetime, and that includes Nixon.
The whole thing is absolutely on the fat man. He stuck his hands in his pockets and walked away while his people were begging him to do something. View attachment 54999Great leadership.
Also, I appreciate that when Joe loses, he'll fucking leave instead of crying like a bitch and attempting a runaround.
He didn't try to invalidate the will of the voters and the country. You must have forgotten about Reagan...
As has been pointed into previously he isn't the first person to try to invalidate the will of the voters. Nothing about him was particularly unique outside of his public persona. He didn't try to invalidate the will of the voters and the country.
Trump did exactly what I thought he would.
As though "If I win it was because I'm so beloved, if I lose they cheated!" years and years prior wasn't enough of a tipoff.
Giving that idiot power was incredibly stupid.
He stirred the shit until his brainless robots stormed the Capitol building. As has been pointed into previously he isn't the first person to try to invalidate the will of the voters. Nothing about him was particularly unique outside of his public persona.
Stirring the shit until your brainless robots light a courthouse on fire seems fairly analogous. Taking over 6 blocks of a major Americna city also seem substantial in terms of "assaults on democracy".He stirred the shit until his brainless robots stormed the Capitol building.
Modern era equivalent?
I'm asking if any other modern era POTUS has been so unforgivabley irresponsible.Stirring the shit until your brainless robots light a courthouse on fire seems fairly analogous. Taking over 6 blocks of a major Americna city also seem substantial in terms of "assaults on democracy".
The current president and vice president said people shouldn't trust covid vaccines.I'm asking if any other modern era POTUS has been so unforgivabley irresponsible.
No. Not equivalent. The current president and vice president said people shouldn't trust covid vaccines.
People are also forgetting that there's a fairly high possibility a lot of January 6th was enacted by the government itself.
Dude. Bush Jr literally stole an election.No. Not equivalent.
And, no. Trump pushed well beyond any previous POTUS in trying to invalidate wrong votes. He did it all. They cheated, they cheated, they cheated. He or his people planned for the 6th. They had a good idea what might happen, and the frantic texts from even his own family begging him to do something went unheeded. His use of power as POTUS finally ran up against something he didn't care to stop. He chose to do nothing, and history will be as contemptuous of him as me.
No worries.@BeardOfKnowledge (Admin)
Please forgive my anger. This last straw has infuriated me and I should try to be less viscerally disgusted.
At the time it seemed that way, I recall the well-hung chads. But I recall reading about how the EC worked and thought it was a close enough thing that I accepted it, though it seemed queer.Dude. Bush Jr literally stole an election.
It basically came to and end because Gore didn't want to end up looking the way Trump currently does.At the time it seemed that way, I recall the well-hung chads. But I recall reading about how the EC worked and thought it was a close enough thing that I accepted it, though it seemed queer.
Except Gore actually had a case that he won the election. It basically came to and end because Gore didn't want to end up looking the way Trump currently does.
I mean Trump looks like a whiny, petulant child.Except Gore actually had a case that he won the election.
Which makes a bit of a difference, don't you think?
And what do you mean, "looking like Trump currently does"?
Like the presumptive GOP nominee who no other potential candidate is even brave enough to criticise, you mean?
??
A whiny, petulant child with an unchallenged death grip on the entire American political right, you mean.I mean Trump looks like a whiny, petulant child.
You're grossly overstating his grip on the political right. He's can't fill an arena anymore. His inauguration had the lowest attendance of all time. He's not even politically right.A whiny, petulant child with an unchallenged death grip on the entire American political right, you mean.
You keep pretending like he isn't by far the most dominant right wing political figure. Like his cultists have somehow woken up and seen him for what he is, or like the entire GOP isn't completely subservient to him. How much clearer can they be that they prefer Donald Trump to having a functional democracy?
??
*brief aside*You're grossly overstating his grip on the political right. He's can't fill an arena anymore. His inauguration had the lowest attendance of all time. He's not even politically right.

Isn't it just bizarre, the unforced errors, weird campaign stops, bungled arrangements, embarrassing missteps?
It's so weird.
I never would've thought a President would be associated with a dildo store presser, and would never have seen Rudy come to this

I'm watching Seinfeld right now, it's the one with Rudy and the fat yogurt.
I'm laughing at the episode. Yes, he was supposed to run for president, but instead he decided to... I don't even know how you explain this.I'm watching Seinfeld right now, it's the one with Rudy and the fat yogurt.
He was a pretty good Mayor back when, pre 9/11 even
