Not having the gym is really kicking the shit out of me, I've been sober for close to 12 years and don't have a real outlet other than exercising. Lots of snow on the ground here and the home workouts although they are better than nothing just don't provide as good as an outlet as the mental preparation it takes to go to the gym, the leaving house and the time away from it. Anxiety been increasing and I'm having to talk myself into the dialy chores and stuff I have to do so I imagine depression will be following.
Go outside, grab a log and start working out like Rocky in Russia.

Be well, bruh.

In line for a PCR test. A vacant field has been converted into a drive-thru testing site and city officials have created snake-like "lanes" using traffic cones. At the end of each lane there is enough space to complete the U-turn in one swoop.

Alas, the driver in front of me is a woman and has had to put her car in reverse on literally every loop thus far because she doesn't drive out far enough.

I'm almost getting out of my car, getting into hers, and making each turn for her.

We are to our last box of swabs today. New shipment didn't arrive. Hopefully tomorrow.
You’ll be happy to know my work is sitting on roughly 10,000 test kits. Every student able to take them home.

The majority of cases are being spread pre-symptomatically with Omicron (or so I've read). It's why vaccines aren't reducing transmission anymore. They still reduce symptoms but that's not stopping asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic spread.

I'm still testing positive, despite no/little symptoms. Was hoping to get out of quarantine early but I guess I'm spending the weekend in my bedroom again.
Well I have one for you. My wife is a teacher and tested herself Tuesday in readymentation of starting Wednesday. No symptoms but it was policy for them to check. She tested positive. I have access to a few of the good lateral flow tests so we tried another. Same result. She went for a PCR test yesterday. Results came this morning confirm she has corona. Tested our little boy before he went in to school yesterday negative. No symptoms. Tested today. Positive. So there is your case.

I am clean. I reckon I had this thing in mid December but was so mild I didn't even notice it it till it had gone.

As I say it's all good health wise. But it is my daughters birthday weekend and we've had to cancel the party. Mates mum's funeral tomorrow. She can't go to that either. Plus she can't leave the house. And I'm working. Grim start to the year.
thanks for the responses
I was looking for medically documented asymptomatic spread though, not anecdotal evidence

Leigh @Leigh CDC said you can test positive for the next 12 weeks, far after you are contagious so maybe read up on that and come up with a different plan

I wish we could live by what they told us in March. You wouldn’t have even gotten Covid because you’re vaccinated.

PCR testing threshold was not defined and the conclusion was far from definitive
Thanks for the link though

I can imagine how difficult this study was to find. Must've taken you tens of seconds.

CDC is American. I have to isolate for 10 days unless I get two negative test results 24 hours apart.

Are you testing every 24 hours? Have you had even one negative test yet?
Minimum length of isolation is 7 days. Today is my 6th day so the first day worth testing. The red line was much stronger today than when I first tested positive. I'll test again tomorrow but I'm not expecting a negative.

I was just letting you know you may get PCR positives for a long long time...do they accept other forms of testing?
Lateral flow testing is what we use for home testing. Yeah, I may test positive for weeks afterwards. Means I'll have to serve the full 10 days.

I'm 100% fine, I've been doing home workouts.

Roger that, good to hear
If you can still earn a living from home then that is nice

Pretty sure I would have tested positive a week or so back myself, I'm not a testing guy though...I had really mild symptoms and just kept working(outside solo self employed work)...my lady didn't catch shit, she sees hundreds of people a week in medical setting so she has been, and will be exposed to everything and her immune system seems to be a beast.

Does it count how strong the lines are then?

On both the C and the T?

I've heard it does. One of the rapid tests I have says that faint lines indicate low antigen levels.

I think I've read or heard that dark sample/test lines indicate high antigen levels.
