I did hear an interesting take from the Professor of Ukrainian studies at Uni of Cambridge today.

Its not that much of a nugget but its interesting. Crimea is arid. Unseasonably warm. Ukraine rightly shut off its water when it was annexed and its costing Putin a fortune to keep it running. He wants a land bridge.

The land bridge theory has been mentioned here before, I’m sure i read it on here. But I had no idea that Crimea and its people lived in such a dry place.

That said. My opinion that Putin has gone nuts still stands.

Covid broke a lot of people.

But as a point of fact…. The top 6th of that badly photoshopped pic is bbc gfx.

Not sure even Fox would use BBC gfx.

Just saying that jimmys are getting rustled and maybe cool your jets When it comes to propaganda unless it was a joke

It was 100% a joke

I don't watch fox, but I don't think they are even dumb enough to put that image on a broadcast

CNN did have a laughable video of a guy putting on body armor the other day but it was just poorly produced and executed


You and I both know this thread is filled to the brim with propaganda...Sucks but true

Its amazing that Russia wasnt put into the wilderness for the Dutch airplane it shot down all thise years ago,


A Dutch court found them guilty with proof. But Germany was suckling of its cheap oil and gas deal.

Putin is a gangster. It is incredible with hindsight that the west didnt act then.

The only way this ends is for him to be overthrown.

Seems far more easy to argue than the “special military operation” line. Very interesting to watch this risk/reward from all parties involved and how’s its escalating.
