The latest one I saw (dated today's date) says 12,000.

The figures you quoted are Ukranian propaganda, they are definitely inflated.
Truth is, not even Russia really knows how many they have lost, although they probably have a better idea than a bunch of jackoffs on the off-topic section of an MMA website.

Poland will swap them with the US for F-16s, presumably the US will then find a way to get them to Ukraine.
I guess the reason for this is for Poland not to be seen to be supplying Ukraine directly.

Getting them to Ukraine is still the tricky bit.
They can't be flown in by NATO pilots, that breaches neutrality.
No country will want Ukranian pilots to fly them from their airfields either, for similar reasons.
