How many times with assumptions about me do you have to be wrong before you stop doing it?

I know it was part of the plan because of the Belarusian battle map as well as references to such in Russian state news stories posted in anticipation of a quick victory.

It was probably part of their original plan when this was going to be a quick endeavor. It might still be. And then it's also possible. They just want everyone to think that their big macho men and you better be lucky we didn't come over there.

Regardless, the source is Russia state media and their puppet Belarus. Not Twitter.

I guessed you were referring to the map and the twitter remark is about people circulating that it shows an invasion plan of Moldova. Which it doesn't.

It's unclear whether that map shows a plan for an invasion of Odessa from Transnistria or movement of troops from Odessa to Transnistria, but it is clear that nothing points inside the territory of Moldova itself. We also don't know if Luka was fucking with the Ukrainians and therefore us.

My point was simply that you don't 'know' anything of the sort you claim to know, you just 'think' something based on a poor reading of a potentially dubious map and random reports. You in fact think something that is 95% likely to be wrong

And when Russia almost certainly doesn't invade Moldova, will you admit you didn't know? Or, conveniently, will plans just have changed?

Oh now start the semantics about whether autonomous region of Moldova is still Moldova "itself".

Canada is next

Arctic Sovereignty is important but Russia can’t invade us over the North Pole. They can’t even invade Ukraine over the steppes. Our biggest adversaries in the North are the USA and China. Stay outta Muh NW passage

You are the one grasping at straws here. There are already Russian troops in Transnistria and they have been there for 30 years. Moving troops from there or to there, without any extra encroachment on Moldovan territory, would not represent a new invasion of Moldova. That would be like saying NATO is about to invade Serbia because they've been in Kosovo for 20 years already.

And it's not out of the question that it could happen. But it's very unlikely because even though Moldova is poking the bear a little by cozying up to the EU, they seem to know that if they fuck around with NATO, they'll find out.

There are already Russian troops in Transnistria and have been for some time. I don't think this counts as a "Russian invasion of Moldova."

The south-eastern city of Volnovakha has been completely destroyed since the Russian invasion, says governor of the Donetsk region Pavlo Kyrylenko.

He said since the invasion began most of Volnovakha's population has fled, and much of its infrastructure has been destroyed, meaning the city effectively no longer exists.

"In general, Volnovakha with its infrastructure as such no longer exists," he told Ukrainian TV channel Direct.

But he said fighting is still going on there to prevent a Russian encirclement of the strategically important territory.

Volnovakha has been under a heavy barrage of shelling, rockets and air strikes, destroying almost every building in the town.

"Despite all our efforts, there are still people in this city who try to destabilise the situation. People who call on you (locals) to carry out extremist actions. I ask you to please remain level headed. Do not give in to these provocations.

"I address all deputes; the elected officials of all levels. Respected deputies, we were elected by the people. Our duty above all is to look after their wellbeing. With that goal in mind, we are working on creating a committee of elected officials.

"This committee will be tasked with administrative responsibilities on the territory of Melitopol and the Melitopol region."
