Hard to say. I think it's majority St. Augustine with centipede mixed in.
The natural cycle of grass would be to grow large enough to attract pests, potentially destroying the value of the home. I'm watching this happen in real time across the street. They own, I rent. He's a libtard, I'm a MAGAtard. Go figure...

I get what you’re saying. I fucking hate yard work. But….this is the difference in a neighborhood where people take care of their shit (our current neighborhood), and one where they don’t (which we moved out of 4 years ago).

I've seen people try to grow the gay shit you mentioned. It doesn't work. Their lawn ends up burnt to shit by the Florida sun, all because they're a fuckin dork from the midwest who wants the nostalgia of their childhood yard.
I just don't get why the aesthetic of a buzz cut on a lawn is considered care. It still seems like normalizing balding.
I cut mine to 4” tall in the summer buddy. A comb over, if you will.

If I cut it short, it's because I don't want to cut it often. I will have to check, but I think I have my mower set to 3"
My last cut of the year I shave it closer so the long blades of grass don't catch the leaves and the wind just blows them away.
