Those children will have PTSD for the rest of their lives.

I know their were some on here on the past that suffered from that.

It fucks you up. I hope they are supported properly.
They are in my thoughts.

And I pray for the lightening victims.

we do but our schools are designed with many entrances and exits that are intended for two way traffic, i’ve never seen one with emergency exits that don’t open from outside. just big double doors. different cultures i guess
nah dude. my schools had tons of double access doors. i was hardcore in school. loved it

but i also loved walking to classes outside. a quick breath of fresh air and sunshine. even rain. i love the outdoors and those little breaks were good for my mental health im sure

@Lars
What is the Canadian SRO program?
Yes it looks like it may have just been ended but was it cops for 40 years on some school campuses?

What would be the problem with people applying for a gun license and a background check being done?
It's an infringement on the Natural Right to keep and bear the same arms as the government.

It's like Voter Competency Tests. It's invariably used as a tool of oppression

i’m not sure if there was ever a federal program. policing in canada is provincial jurisdiction, and while many contract that out to the RCMP, it looks like the policies were at municipal levels.

we had a school resource officer that was obsessed with hunting down the stoners and arresting them, it was cool.

School safety

SROs work tirelessly to ensure the safety of staff and students, daily. From planning and executing lockdown drills throughout the schoolyear, to making themselves available for individual or group discussions with students or staff on the topics of school safety, security and violence. While they are in constant communication with School Administrations and Committees, they are also the first line of crime prevention in school, helping to deter crime-related incidents, such as bullying, graffiti and vandalism, harassment or stalking, robbery or theft, or use of weapons or threats.
