we had a school resource officer that was obsessed with hunting down the stoners and arresting them, it was cool.
Sounds like he was consistentguy tried to get me kicked off the football team for speed.
ohhh i’m from manhattan i’m so fancy!!Ok this is not a prevention solution but people getting active shooter training are learning how to use tourniquets because supposedly there is enough data now (sadly) that they believe that is one thing that will save a significant number of victims.
So tourniquet training + double entryways for guests.
For the record, I don't think it's like a prison if a random stranger isn't allowed in a building to encounter my son in the bathroom on a pass, and in Manhattan we have plenty of beautiful non-school apartment and office buildings with security checkin/doormen who do not let people in unless their reason to be there checks out. I guess I just don't see the issue.
In our schoolyards/direct entrances, we mostly have double security doors - so they only open from the inside unless you have a key, when there's a keyhole. No windows in the doors. They're opened from the inside to let the children in, and kept closed when they're not in use.
Idk guys I'm not saying we'll never have a problem, but basic safety measures are really not crazy. Even when I lived in a very rural area, back then they weren't behind security glass, but you still had to pass by the front desk to get in, several offices were right there - people could be called out to help, and random people weren't allowed.
When the shooter is someone who is supposed to be there - that's a bigger issue. But horribly this shooting seems (at least at this stage) like one big F up on the basics.
The 2nd Amendment is a lie?
Five years since Las Vegas. No time for nuance or thought.
DO SOMETHING!!!!
Not sure if you are aware that there is a lot more in that bill besides that. What would be the problem with people applying for a gun license and a background check being done?

Worst spot on that river, that is why I chose itIts not the best if I'm being honest.
Worst spot on that river, that is why I chose it
It has some of the purest water in the world in the good spots
NoWell it doesn't.
It's not even in the top thousand of purest waters in the world when you consider the Himalayers alone has over 1 thousand of tributaries give or take.
Not including the pyrenees which is also purer. Plus the likes of new Zealand and even countries like Barbados which have perfect pH water.
But I take your point.
Yes
