One more week of night shift, I'm tired and want to go home
Finished nights Wednesday morning. Back on days Sunday through Wednesday this coming week but have two ot night shifts Thursday & Friday. (That’s a 72hr week starting Sunday). Next month I’ll be working 13 out of 14 in a row with 3 day night day swaps. Not looking forward to that.

Been there. Just get as much rest as possible & avoid any booze.

Do you have blackout drapes & a white noise source? Helps me with working nights.

I do. I took nightshift because it just helps us with child care. The kids have been really good about it they usually let me sleep until 9 and then are good when I get to tired and need a pre-work nap.

Fuck the government

I work for a state 'gubment' and do shift work as well(although I did shift work in private industry as well). Coming to the state really opened my eyes at the level of incompetency, dishonesty & "failing up" that happens in government.

Working directly with goverment has accelerated me into the ron swanson stage of my life.

I’ve only seen gifs & mems so kind of get the joke.

I was hired into my position to help bring the states real time operations group up to speed with the rest of the industry. After executive management found out just how far behind they really are, they have since nearly stopped listening. It’s like they’re intentionally sticking their heads in the sand & pretending problems don’t exist.

My “give a fuck” is quickly starting to fade at this point.

Transmission service time on the little daily driver pickup. Also did the power steering. Rear differential is going to have to wait until it’s engine oil change time in another 600mi
