I have never heard anyone say they voted for someone because they were white and had no clue what they stood for. People have specifically said they voted for obama with no knowledge other than he was black and wanted to be part of history.

Have you reminded these same people that they voted for Kerry, Gore and Clinton in the same percentages they normally vote Democrat?

At a time of war, at least for a short period of time until identities are confirmed, it's what I would've done. like it or not.
I would've grounded flights for 3 days while the issue was worked on around the clock.
