Yup, Ramadi and Fallujah are encircled, but it will take bitter house to house urban combat to take the cities. I read that 2/5 of Ramadi is in ISF hands.
If only the YPG could fight this battle. They excel in urban combat.

Hopefully the Iraqi army is well-trained.

Hahhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaa they are cowards. You have some good ones, most are horrible soldiers just fucking boys and doing heroin on post.
I'm trying to be more optimistic.

The Kurds are reluctant to fight for any area that doesn't have Kurds in it (which Ramadi doesn't) and the Shia Popular Mobilization Forces are problematic to say the least.

If Iraq is to get rid of ISIS, it will need Sunni soldiers (Kurds and Shia militiamen won't be enough, especially in Anbar and Sunni-dominated areas) who believe in the country and are willing to fight for it.

The kurds are the best thing in the country. But unfortunately all the other fuck heads are cents and out number them. I'll just sit back and laugh while they slaughter each other.

Sort of. Executive politicians in Iraq making personal and politically expedient military decisions instead of deferring to the generals leading to failure after failure.

Isis will lose ground fast on Iraq and Syria now that it's started. Look for a lybia stronghold.
