Considering how long he's been in the NFL and how many times Dallas has struggled but this being your question kinda answers it. He fades into the background.
He normally just goes to the bench, gets his iPad and watches plays. He's not very involved in managing his offense. He just sits there with his QB coach.

He is certainly a baller and can make many amazing plays but something is missing apparently
You do get the feeling there is a small rift between him and some of the teammates
This is more of problem with the hiring of Getsy as OC, team should have met and beat the commanders offer to Kliff Kingsbury.
He is trying to make the players fit his offense instead of tailoring the offense to the players especially in the run game department.

It's glaringly obvious. Last week the refs save the Chiefs ass by a PI call on 4th down. This week they save the Chiefs ass by NOT calling an obvious PI that would have cost them the game.
