We have a very small kitchen and our prep list is pretty big already. We make about 70 percent of everything from scratch but if we can find something premade that matches our flavor profile that we are looking for we will just buy it. We still modify it to get something closer to what we are looking for.I'm surprised you don't make your own. Ketchup is cheap, just don't ruin it by fridgerating it!
As an example one of our salads has a smokey french dressing. It's basically Kens french dressing with some liquid smoke added do it. Takes 30 seconds to make and we go through a ton of it.
