I feel like Jill is about to pass a massive trillion dollar climate change bill before she leaves office.

I often wonder if anyone has bothered to consider that us cutting down so many trees over the last 100 years has had any impact whatsoever and if maybe, just maybe plating a fuck ton of trees would be a low cost, high reward solution.
That fuckton of felled trees was clearing the way for humans to live and agriculture to feed us, and in latter years for resource extraction. There isn't enough land left to replant all the ancient forests unfortunately, not without everyone agreeing to go back to medieval techn IIRC.

PNW has so many treees

To answer your original question yes, I think everybody should plant trees and support such.

I have probably planted 80,000 plus with my own hands and supervised millions of them being planted. I was being paid of course. Trees are the shit. Everybody loves a good tree.

So do we, but we also have a lot of places that were cleared for whatever reason and are just grass now. We also tend to do a poor job of tree selection. If you live in the city, you don't really want a maple, oak, or some other tree that bears a fruit that people can't eat. It just ends up becoming a burden and will end up being cut down because cutting it down is less of a pain in the ass than dealing with it for 2 of the 6 months it isn't bare.

We also need to do a better job of constructing fire breaks and letting nature do it's things instead of trying to keep yearly fires small, which just compounds the size of them year over year.
