General SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule to return Boeing Starliner crew to Earth

20 January 2025 DJT assumes office. Funding for Ukraine is cut. 21 January 2025 a Soyuz launches to deliver cosmonauts to ISS, and returns a week later with American astronauts onboard. Everyone does vodka shots for the cameras then they board a flight back to the US and a new era of peace and cooperation between the US and Russia is hailed.

So for a short space trip, how the hell are they still alive? Do they usually pack these things with a year's worth of food for a week long "flight"? Is it normal to pack a space ship with a Christmas tree and decorations if it's leaving in June for a one week trip?
