How many big game tags do you guys get?
To give you an idea. 70,000 people a year in my province apply to hunt moose and only 1 in 5 get to actually do it. I don't hunt big animals but my brother always seems to luck out. He shot a mule deer last week, hence the deer jerky. The moose meat came from a coworker.

I hunt wild turkey, ruffed grouse, pheasant, squirrel, rabbit. I go out with a dude and his dogs and we chase out problem cougars and we use the same dogs to go after bears. I haven't shot a bear but 3 of the 5 guys I work with have. A good friend of mine got mauled by a momma bear this year and he saved his life because when the bear tossed him he grabbed an arrow and was stabbing it into it's neck repeatedly. When I go out to my vehicle I have to look under it from a distance to make sure there isn't a cougar under it. Sounds funny, but there are so many here that it's really common.

Here is a pic of my buddy, Chad. This is him in the hospital

The bear cut him so clean on his back that there is no scar. The cut on his neck was so deep that the doctor could put his hand inside it and out of Chad's mouth.

Breakfast for the next three days will be one of these three frittatas. 1 egg, 1 egg white, carrots, onion, bell pepper, and cheese with some pepper cracked on top. Saute the veggies, then combine everything and bake in the oven at 375 for 25 minutes. Sometimes I'll make this with some ground meat or bacon.

I also have a week's worth of rice and quinoa cooked. #sundaymealprep

Between travel and wrapping up some things with work, I haven't had much time to cook lately. I have the rest of the year off, so I took the time to cook myself breakfast this morning. Rolled oats cooked in milk with peanut butter, honey, banana, and blueberries.

Chicken and pasta. I seasoned a breast with salt, pepper, and cumin, heated 1/2 cup of pasta sauce, and topped with grated parmesan. Easy peasy. All while watching the Seahawks suck it up.
