I think its a combination of his tact, challenging their core beliefs, indoctrination of bullshit thinking & he's a fat white guy.One quick off topic, what is people's problem with Michael Moore. Did he lie? Cheat? What is it?

Joey Stalin was a HORRID human. truly top 3 worst people to ever live and be in power.
worse than Hitler imo.
Mcarthy? guy was a talking piece moron.
Canada is a pretty socialist country and I love it.
socialism works if you have good laws to protect the people etc.
thats disgusting the amount you pay for basic medical care.Medicine in America is broken.
I pay thousands of dollars per month just to insure our four employees, and there's still a deductible and co-pay to be considered. I've personally paid tens of thousands of dollars in healthcare premiums for myself over the last five years and I haven't been to the doctor in about eight. Granted my old man is a doc, and we work with a bunch of other docs, so I'm lucky to be well cared for, but what about people that don't have those connections?
It blows my mind that there are so many middle-class conservatives that blindly trust the very policies that were put in place against their interest. Private insurance is not in the business of keeping people well. Private insurance is in the business of making as much money as they can. The ACA enacted a few checks and balances that were beneficial to patients, but I still feel a single-payer system would run much more efficiently.
Ohh hurts feelings, got it.I think its a combination of his tact, challenging their core beliefs, indoctrination of bullshit thinking & he's a fat white guy.
YesOne quick off topic, what is people's problem with Michael Moore. Did he lie? Cheat? What is it?
fuck yeah! Stalin was a guy to put down with the quickness. untold amount of people died form those bad decisions. That's what I'm saying I'd have shot him by 1919. Talking piece moron with "duck and cover" infomercials for a backing track, and a traumatised populace to talk at, he and his ilk have made a large mark on the American psyche.
same here we're full commie by US standards.
It's a symptom of our media focusing solely on the negative. It's tough to focus on the positive when all you're presented with is doom and gloom.fuck yeah! Stalin was a guy to put down with the quickness. untold amount of people died form those bad decisions.
american's lived in fear of "commies" for like 60 years. that's a lot of psycho talk.
when i go to america I find most people are 2 levels higher in the "fear" catagory. they are always afraid something is going to happen to them lol. its hilarious and very sad at the same time as I have met many americans, and most of them were great, just naive.
What are your taxes like?to give you an idea, my wife and I get full coverage for anything. from pills to a new heart, covered. if my or her work didnt pay for it it would cost us $160 a month total.
now I know its a bit different as Canada has the population of California. but America also has much more money and influence than us.
But remember, I haven't been to a doctor in about eight years. And now that the Affordable Care Act was passed, it is mandated that you carry a private insurance policy, or you get fined by the government...thats disgusting the amount you pay for basic medical care.
seems to be a big hypocrite on some aspects of what he pretends to be all about too. I agree with you though, he challenges people and if there's anything people hate, it's being challenged on how they think.as a Canadian I dont mind Mike Moore. I think he posses some really good questions and has a few good documentaries / movies. I think he gets a lot of hate because he challenges peoples core beliefs. and he's a dick about it.
I just checked my last pay stub. I get paid monthly. What are your taxes like?
I will poke around. I admittedly haven't looked into it. I was speaking from a logical point of view.We can list them if you like
Actually not all that bad. I'll have to check mine.I just checked my last pay stub. I get paid monthly.
my check before taxes = $4288
taxes taken off = $795
The UK has free health care. This includes visits to the doctor, operations, A&E etc. There is a fee for prescriptions (about £7 I think) but if you are under 18 or unemployed, you are exempt. What are your taxes like?
18.5% isn't bad for commie Canada, but it's still 1.5x more than I payI just checked my last pay stub. I get paid monthly.

Fair enough. I agree that logically it would seem counterintuitive but smokers and fat people are often working until the day they die (figuratively), where as healthy people live well into retirement. Whether one is more costly that the other, the gap isn't as big as you might think.I will poke around. I admittedly haven't looked into it. I was speaking from a logical point of view.
Do you pay tax on welfare cheques?18.5% isn't bad for commie Canada, but it's still 1.5x more than I pay
personally, I would rather pay the extra and have all the awesome services we get.18.5% isn't bad for commie Canada, but it's still 1.5x more than I pay
Spoken like a true commie.personally, I would rather pay the extra and have all the awesome services we get.
I understand not trusting the government with your money. That makes a lot of sense. What doesn't make sense is that taxes have to be raised. Other countries with similar tax levels manage it. Why would taxes have to be raised?Spoken like a true commie.
To answer the question in the OP, it wouldn't be possible to keep the tax rate the same and have free healthcare and free university education.
Taxes would have to be raised, and the honest truth is that most Americans trust themselves to spend their money much more than they do the government.
keep in mind that bc is the only province with a monthly MSP paymentto give you an idea, my wife and I get full coverage for anything. from pills to a new heart, covered. if my or her work didnt pay for it it would cost us $160 a month total.

or you could cut back on the war machine and spend that money on health care and educationSpoken like a true commie.

Then who would protect western Europe from the Russians and the world from ISIS?or you could cut back on the war machine and spend that money on health care and education
So you'd rather pay to protect Western Europe from Russia than get free healthcare for every American. ThanksThen who would protect western Europe from the Russians and the world from ISIS?
