If this deal goes through, zuffa should fund every fighter who ever fought for UFC a check for $1,000,000 for pension and graditute.

If you do this I promise to never scrabble another egg.

So are you saying that because the majority does something wrong it makes it right?
Not at all. I'm just saying that if you can't support an organization based on questionable ethics of the promoters, good luck being an MMA fan.

It's a business, they're all out to make as much money as they can.

Thanks for the well wishing homie. It can be frustrating at times for sure, but my conscience won't allow me to not stand for what i believe to be integrity.

I've been thinking about this. What if they overhaul the whole thing? I love the fact that UFC content is completely uncensored. What if the new company comes in, and we start hearing beeps on embedded? They could also tell Rogan to watch his mouth on his podcast (to which he would say "fuck off" and quit). Those changes are worth it if it means better treatment of the fighters, but they are things that I appreciate about the sport as compared to other major sports, and I hope they keep it.

What do you make of the Bellator situation with Rampage, where he feels they lied and screwed him over? Or the shady deals of the Japanese orgs, including Pride? Or WSOF's legal issues? I mean who do you support in the MMA game?

Not talking about you specifically, but a lot of people on here talk about Zuffa like they're the worst and there's some shining white knight ready to take over and make the fight game pure or something. It's pretty silly! Do people think guys Scott Coker and Sakikabara would make things better? The shit the Japanese pulled with Pride is more disgusting than anything I can remember Zuffa doing.

Yeah that's a big concern I have. People can say what they want about Zuffa's practices, but the product they put out is incredible. These guys are uber fight fans and have worked tirelessly to make the UFC very fan friendly. They GET mma.

Who's to say the UFC won't be bought by some know-nothing fuckheads that will run it into the ground? Treat fighters worse, make it less fan friendly, ect. Whoever buys it is going to have to fill the shoes of the most successful MMA promoters (by a large margin) in the short history of the sport.

And for anyone dumb enough to think that MMA orgs run themselves.... look at all MMA orgs that have popped up and gone defunct in the last 10 years.

I completely agree. There isn't a sporting organization in the world that would pay their athletes what they are worth without some sort of collective bargaining or unionizing. The UFC right now has flaws but it has a lot going for it in terms of output. When they booked Conor vs Nate they immediately made sure that we had a press conference to watch the next day. The fighters can basically say whatever they want at all times without repercussions, because the promoters understand what they promote. If they do sell, I hope the new company keeps everything the same minus Reebok, Egg and pay. I currently love the UFC and would hate to see something so great be taken in a different direction.

Yeah, the things i liked more about Pride was the vast majority of their rule set and their presentation. That whole steroid shit and the yakuza scandal pissed me off a lot with them.

As far as Rampage goes, the ruling was that Jackson breached the contract, not Bellator. Rampage is not a bastion of forethought or careful thinking in my mind. He may have had some CTE contribute to this, but imo he has shown quite reckless behavior with other people's well being in the past, and anyone that DUI's immediately loses some respect in my eyes.

I like the fact that Coker and Sakakibara are willing to co-promote, because i absolutely want to see the best fight the best all across the board in MMA. Now if there proves to be some Tomfoolery with Rizin, of course my opinion would change due to new information.

WSOF's Ali Abdel-Aziz has always come across as a shyster to me. I find him to be a deplorable human being in fact.

I don't believe Zuffa is all bad; In fact they've done a great deal of good for the sport in many ways, and to deny this is not objective. However -to me- that does not let them off the hook for lying, cheating, and stealing their way to success.

lol, certainly not.

But I remember him claiming that they fed him a load of bullshit about huge opportunities outside of the cage (media, film, whatever) to coax him over, and then he realized it was all pillow talk.

Rampage was promised all that stuff by Rebney not Coker, which is why he was one of the few employees at Bellator who seemed genuinely upset by Viacom's decision to axe Bjorn.

Dana White: I Would Not Be Shocked If Lorenzo Fertitta Ends Up Owning an NFL Team

While his only passion is fighting, UFC president Dana White could potentially see his business partners branching out and owning an NFL team one day.

“Fighting is all I care about, it's what I really do, and what I love. I've always loved it since I was a kid, but Lorenzo, my partner, is a football fanatic,” White said when speaking to the Dan LeBatard show in Miami on Thursday.

“I would not be shocked if Lorenzo ends up owning an NFL team. I would not be shocked.”

For the 1000th time the antitrust lawsuit is for a very specific and set period of time.
according to my lawyer friend who is a big fan of MMA,he thinks lawsuit will fail considering bendo leaving, mitrione leaving, and Rory might leave is 3 top 10 guys leaving could push for no antitrust/monopoly. Zuffa will never be able to buy Bellator.

lol, the UFC gets bought by this media group, company starts turning to shit, fighters flee the company, Bellator rises from the ashes like a goddamn phoenix to overtake the UFC as the premium MMA promoter.

It'll be like the myspace to facebook story.
In hindsight, myspace was better.

I dont think Rogan will work for anyone but Dana & the Fertitta's. And I'm 100000000% sure Dana wont work for anyone but the Feritta's. If this goes thru, there will be a lot of people that move on IMO.

Which also scares me, because I love Rogan's announcing.

Rogan's contract is up in August, and he's hinted on his podcast that he probably won't resign due to family obligations, as well as freeing up more time for other projects he's had on hold.
Yeah, I have heard all of that. I hope he reconsiders, but the dude really is involved in a lot. Being a professional comic alone takes up a lot of time.
