Seems he has, and I don't really care if he is truthful or not in that, he caters to them and uses fear, that much should be clear.
Thing is, if Clinton or another politician would have done that people here would be all over that, but if Trump does it, he is smart. Got it.
He is so different from other politicians. :D
You're going to find instances where Trump doesn't tell the truth or he makes a mistake. You can probably find 10 more and post them all here. It's a matter of choosing the best out of the two and Trump is a country mile ahead of Hillary in my eyes. Trump self-funds the majority of his campaign, shoots from the hip no canned speeches, and has several ideas I agree with. That's enough for me and he'll get my vote.

They endorsed him. Not the other way around.
Yeah, I doubt anything I post will make a difference, so read about it or watch it yourself to make up your own mind. :) (I haven't watched, but figured some of you did so I asked here, but it seems nobody here has seen it yet, or they don't want to answer me)
And look, his stances on these issues are not really a concern for me, but I am convinced that he caters to them shamelessly, after criticizing exactly that in a book he wrote once. Now, maybe that is smart and gets him into the house, but I can also see it as a sign that he might be just another weather vane.

You are cynical as fuck my man. Impossible to debate with. lol
Yep, sorry for that. But as I said another day already, its kinda to balance things out that seem strange to me.

Like look, I respect most of you guys a lot and know you are smart dudes, but man, the blind cult-like following just astonishes me.
Every time something negative is brought up, immediately it is doubted or tried to put in a positive light.
Good example in the other thread about the charity stuff, people immediately come to Trump's defence and tow the line his campaign-manager put out (after being found out!).
His campaign-manager.. these guys are not paid to tell the truth, these guys are paid to spin shit so it looks good. And it just happens to be a very convenient story. But its immediately accepted as truth and tried to put a positive light on the facts.
That naivete when it comes to this is just mind-boggling to me.

So yeah I might be cynical, but I'm not sure if 'the other side' in this is better.

Fair enough, that is something I can respect, and if I had no other choice, I'd vote for him over Hillary as well.
(And I know you are having the same stance there IschKabibble @IschKabibble, so its all good. :))

This is why we can't debate. You're still jumping to conclusions and pointing fingers. You can't attach your cynicism to another man's thoughts. Your logic and your personal experience is not going to resonate with all 7 billion people on the planet. We are a totally different country and in many ways a totally different society. And that's okay too.

Was the charity stuff where they over reported the amount they sent to the charity? I read over it but didn't look into it much deeper to find out the true facts (I don't take a CNN story as proof for an issue dealing with Trump same way I wouldn't take a Fox story as proof when talking about Bernie. Both love to spin things.). If so, over reporting the donation amount is wrong and of course I don't like to see that but it brings me back to the point of who is the worst of the two - Hillary or Trump.

Many Americans, me included, are tired of the career politicians and we are willing to take a chance on a brash man who says whats on his mind and doesn't sugarcoat things. Maybe it will backfire, maybe it wont. I'll roll the dice on the Trump train and see where it takes us.

Q @Qat, you're the man. Never a need for the debate to go personal. This thread isn't a blind, cult-like following. It's our light-hearted attempt to take the piss out of our foolish electoral system. I suppose if you were born in America, by chance, you would be able to empathize a bit better.

Trump makes speeches in front of USA flags and talks about policies to make America great again.

Look at the difference;

Ze Germans have been conditioned for decades to have only a sense of national shame, not pride and they make policies that suit non-germans even if it fuks over their own people.
Of course Germans are going to hate Trump, it's playing by a totally different set of rules that they can't play by. Imagine, a leader looking after their own people. It's just not fair and therefore must be totally racist.

You think Merkel is loved and that scene didn't get her huge criticism? Fyi, the other people on that stage are top-politicians of her party, what does it tell you that they wanted to have the flag there?
What a dumb shitpost. I though you weren't a simpleton like that.

It might look different from the inside.
But from the outside we see a once great country sliding down the shitter with leader who is clearly unpatriotic and drums up sense of shaming of her own people, and there may be a little bit of critisism, but she hasn't been tossed out, and she has an approval rating of over 50% with her own people...

Approval is not love, we are just aware that nobody is perfect, especially not a politician. She is like an amoeba that can work with the big ego's of the big parties.. it helps.
I personally never voted for her for various reasons, but she does have her pros and cons, and come on.. there are so many more important things than this flag incident, things that really matter.

When she took office, we had an unemployment rate of 11,7%, now we are at 6,5%, while actually having solid budgets. Our economy is doing fine, yeah, we are clearly going down the shitter. Its all so bad, we got out of the crisis soooo bad. Bla bla.

Speaking of unpatriotic, she was born and grew up in East Germany. And you know, that is not news to anyone. But believe it or not, this woman knows what she is doing.
You wanna toss her out for the flag stuff? That would be ridiculous.
