Lesnar took Carwin's biggest shots when he was still sick. I don't see Hunt KOing lesnar with one shot when Carwin couldn't. Lesnar has a very good chin, and that will help him when he comes in to shoot or clinch with Hunt, unless Hunt lands one right on the temple like he did to Mir. People might say that lesnar will turtle up when he gets hit, but remember that was AFTER carwin was able to defend the initial takedown first. I dont know if Hunt can do that with a healthy lesnar

Brock's been tko'd but we've never seen him actually knocked out. He just turtles up but you can tell he's still conscious with his hands up etc. Hunt hits like a dumptruck though so who knows. Everyone said no one can KO Hoy Nelson but Hunt did a walk off.

Brock is so matter of fact.......is he just going to bull rush hunt?

I wish I was that big.
You sound like you want to be Brocks cuck.

Hunt is going to punch him in body and finish him. Brock is the only guy in the UFC with literally less guts than Cowboy Cerrone.

Carwin's shots would have been called a TKO on anyone else in the HW division... but since it was brock they allowed him to continue regardless of how many unanswered shots and not "intelligently" defending himself.

If Brock can't get a take down, he is fucked and WILL get KO'd.

This pretty much sums it up..... a guy who can one punch KO a charging rhino (no pun intended) but has questionable ground skills vs a huge athletic bulldozer D-1 wrestling champion who has taken down everyone (but Overeem if I remember correctly) he's faced in MMA, but hates getting hit.

It's truly the battle of who will do their thing first...... and sadly, I think Brock will take down and smother Hunt before Mark can fire off his A Bomb hands.

The thing that sucks about this fight is that win or lose, Brock won't fight again.... if he wins, who cares.... loses, well he's "been retired and never should've returned". Same for Mark, he either beats an unranked retiree, or loses and breaks his momentum for title contendership.

I dont think Lesnar was given a special exception just for being brock lesnar. There are PLENTY of other times in the UFC where the ref lets the fight go on a bit longer. The ref made the right call IMO because a lot of carwin's shots weren't hurting brock as much anymore and obviously lesnar came back to finish carwin.

He was. The only exception I can rememberr that was worse was Kimbo vs Nelson.

Will be a very interesting fight. So many unknowns regarding Brock that it is hard to see how this fight goes. It so much depends on how Brock comes into the fight. Will he be too rusty? Will he be markedly slower than last we saw him? Will he be able to take a punch?

Of course, Brock's best chance is to get the quick takedown and TKO from top position. But if Hunt can get up Brock's lips will be flying off eventually. Hunt has displayed much improved wrestling in the past years, but this may be his biggest test yet.

Mark Hunt has a deadly uppercut, so the takedown is no guarantee, especially if Brock is slower than we are used to seeing.

Seriously? Munoz vs Weidman, Mir vs Carwin, Khabib vs Tavares, Rockhold vs Weidman, brown vs pete sell, kongo vs al turke, joe warren vs pat curran

At least Lesnar was covering up in that fight, most of the guys I just mentioned took all unanswered punches right to the face.

And all ended with the person being hit getting tko'd..

So? You just named kimbo vs nelson and kimbo got TKOed lol! You're acting like only brock got special treatment when all these guys in MMA were given chances. Lesnar came back to win it, that should be enough to show that the ref made the right choice.

I don't quite remember everything about the Overeem-fight, but didn't AO shake Lesnar off quite easily?
And Hunt has so much more experience. I wouldn't count him out that easily.

hunt will have a size disadvantage which is something he hasn't had in a long time (maybe Barnett was bigger back then). guy like Bigfoot move slow while Lesnar moves like a mw. gonna be interesting.

No doubt i'm not counting Hunto out, but Brock was a D-1 collegiate champion who took down other high level wrestlers with ease.... not knocking Hunt, but he's no D-1 level talent even with his improved wrestling.

And about Overeem, Brock did get shook off, but not making excuses (i'm not a Brock fan), Lesnar was suffering from a disease that could've killed him LOL

But that was Uberreem juiced to the tits. He was not of this planet back then. Brock will likely get the takedown at some point. He may be a bit slower than 5 years ago, but he will still be fast as shit. Not that Hunt gasses, but Brock is younger than Hunt. They are both enormous dudes. I don't see one gassing before the other.

Huntos punches dont lose steam like Carwins plus Hunts angles are different..i agree Brocks got a granite chin but ANYBODY can be knocked out..Hunt was KOd by Manhoef and CroCops kicks didn't drop Hunt..its all in there placement of the shot and trust me Hunt can KO any human being on the planet if he lands that uppercut and follws with a barrage...

Honestly if Brock has been training I think we may see wrestlefuck city, but Brock doesn't just hold guys down. We will see some GnP. I would still go with Hunt because his striking and TD defense are great, but I wouldn't count Lesnar out.
