as much as I hate Dana and Co....be careful what you wish for guys....this might not be as great a thing as we think.
Well it cant be much worse. If it collapses then the figthers go to Bellator. One or WSOF. It isnt about the Promotion I dont come to watch the UFC i come to watch the face punches, elbows that slice and the beat downs. That can be done in any of those othr organizations.

Wow that is fucked up
well I'm reading that Paul Hennesey (speaking for bellator) would not have let Kimbo's son fight Thompson, and even asked Tito if he was interested, and would have asked Liam McGeary if he wasn't injured.

who knows the truth :(

"Ferguson Jr., 23, fought at 175 pounds at the event held by Warrior Nation Xtreme Fighters Alliance."
Kevin Ferguson Jr., Kimbo Slice’s Son: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Don't think the Thompson rumours were true, at all. Doubt Bjorn would put a blown up welterweight with no pro experience against a seasoned HW like Colossus.
well I imagine the 2 issues got merged into one on the rumour mill, and that he was contacted to appear on the card against "TBD" so they could at least promote something, instead of the biggest fight on the card being Daley vs the replacement opponent for Koscheck, Lima (which is a quality fight imo)

evem if the new owners manage to royally fuck the ufc up mma will survive in the long run and bellator wsof etc will benefit fromthe zuffa mafia being out of the sport
that's the way I see it. we the hardcore fans have nothing to lose. we will be either watching on a huge flat screen TV or on a shitty shady stream and sometimes the stream takes a lot of work but is a more legendary memory.

Zuffa brings all of the bads from corporate mentality and very few of the goods from good ownership. like I said they're bad enough that I'll take a coin flip over them.

if new owners run the ufc to the ground and fail at "legitimaze the sport" and "make it mainstream" then we'll still be watching Bellator and other underground orgs.

So the Fertittas have 6 months to 1031 exchange the $3.2 B into another sports franchise to avoid taxes. Guessing they will be (at least part) owners of the Raiders very soon.

Those m'fers are some evil geniuses. Leave it to some dumbass Chinese to buy this thing at top dollar when it's at the cusp of the Ali Act cutting that $4 B valuation by about 80%.

All of you cheering, be careful what you wish for. The demise of the UFC may put this sport back into the dark IMO. Hopefully not, but if the Ali Act disrupts the model enough, we may see the fighters scatter across 4-5 orgs. If you think cards are top-heavy and scattered with no names now, just wait until that happens.

We might be about to go from one extreme to the other. One where the fighters lost out, but Zuffa and the fans won (yes the fans won because we got to regularly see the best fight the best and only had to follow one org to see 80-90% of the top fights) to the other extreme, which is boxing. The most marketable fighters will get paid a lot more, but they will fight one another way less often and if you thought it was a chore before to watch all the top guys by watching every UFC event, good luck going forward when you'll have to watch every UFC, Bellator, ONE, WSOF, Titan, RFA and who knows what else to see the same 80-90% of top-ranked fights. Extremely watered down cards coming to an MMA theatre near you.

The current UFC/WWE model had major flaws, but scrapping it for the boxing model is going to suck hard. I'm hoping that's not what we are facing, but when I put the puzzle pieces together (Ali Act momentum + Zuffa parachute), it's the most likely outcome IMO.
