Historically Turkey has been the destination for troublesome Muslim populations; exchanges for Turkish Christians was the traditional practice before the Turks killed all their Christians in 1914. I dunno, maybe trade them for horses?

Oh, it has quite a bit to do with that fact. But far from everything. Druze, Christians and mainline Shia also face crucifixions, beheadings etc from our 'freedom fighting' pals. The UN considers what the Christians and Yezidis face to be genocide.
Lebanon was created by France after WW1 to be a Christian Maronite homeland. Maronites moved by the millions to the US, Brazil, Canada etc, rendering themselves a minority. They also insisted on including Muslim land in Lebanon. Lebanon is really part of Syria.

Yep I grew up around Lebanese of Christian and Muslim extraction. They would often talk about "LEBANESE POWER"! and in highschool we would reply "Would you like a croissant with that?"

Hard to follow exactly what's going on. Its a memorial I guess for the victims there, and somebody did say 'allahu akhbar', when some other got ticked off by it because it was a memorial and is disrupting or something. Dude who said it told him: my people died here. (Turks and Arabs did die there, so he is probably right), but it escalated nonetheless.
There is a time and place for it, this is not it.
