You haven't refuted a single thing in this thread. Only danced around the argument with word play. Nobody is talking specifics here. You're looking for an accurate specification when there never was one.

You will argue yourself to the grave on this one. I'm officially out. Good luck. Have fun.
One more time, yes I expect a definition to be definitive. That's the opposite of word play.

The existence of the science alone proves to be a psychical separator of peoples.

But you can keep lying to yourself as long as you'd like.

It is definitive. I gave you the etymology and all. But you're bringing modern genetic science around to make your primary point. All the while ignoring the rest.

If you want to change the definition of the word race, I'm not the one to talk to. I'm not even sure how you'd go about that.

Doesn't change the fact we were all very separate and different from each other.

Why you would try to convince yourself otherwise makes zero fucking sense to me.

Edit
A social construct or construction concerns the meaning, notion, or connotation placed on an object or event by a society, and adopted by the inhabitants of that society with respect to how they view or deal with the object or event. In that respect, a social construct as an idea would be widely accepted as natural by the society, but may or may not represent a reality shared by those outside the society, and would be an "invention or artifice of that society."[2]

A major focus of social constructionism is to uncover the ways in which individuals and groups participate in the construction of their perceived social reality. It involves looking at the ways social phenomena are created, institutionalized, known, and made into tradition by humans.

You know damn well what I meant by that. The word is specifically defined, as "physical difference." No more. No less.

Now you and the sociology professor who started this madness are searching into our genetics to find out how much we're alike, rather than different.

No. Fucking. Shit.

We're all of the same species.

I'm not changing the definition of the word. I'm sticking to it by the letter. Feel free to post it.

OF COURSE we're different. That's the point. You're claiming that groups of people are the same.

What word should we use then Leigh @Leigh? If race is an obsolete term, what should we say?

Language isn't real! Language is just a social construct!!

Should we go there next? I'm sure I can get Splinty @Splinty to chime in on that conversation.

You asked for physical differences and I gave you a number of them. You worked your way out by saying we're more alike than not.

That is not the argument we're having here.

Nah mate. You're dancing around my evidence to maintain your position.
Actually, i see you asking for help repeatedly from others. Seems a bit more "dancy" than asking for clarification you won't (or can't) give.

The differences you gave didn't apply to all the members of one "race" and they exist in members of different races. They were absurd.

One time in jest because it was suggested. And my frustration comes from the fact that Leigh @Leigh started this thread to discuss an opinion that he won't give up in the face of being proven wrong.
