Welp it's Facebook official.
Dana has said they are not making a decision on his 187 status until they get more facts. Based on the facts we know right now, I would guess that he fights. It appears that the woman he hit with his car did not sustain any injuries considering he is only facing a misdemeanor charge at this time. He will be facing a fine for that and will have to pay for the damages to the victim's car. No jail time. Certainly new details can emerge and change all that. It's a waiting game now....

Albquerque, N.M., police on Sunday night confirmed to FOX Sports that UFC light heavyweight champion Jon 'Bones' Jones is a suspect in an early morning hit-and-run accident which left a pregnant woman hospitalized with minor injuries.
As of Sunday night, however, police have been unable to reach Jones.
ESPN confirmed that police have named Jones as a suspect, and quoted Albuquerque police spokesman Simon Drobik as saying, "The case has progressed and he is now our suspect in the the hit and run that happened earlier this morning involving a pregnant female. We are now definitely looking at him as a suspect."
Earlier Sunday, before labeling Jones a suspect, police released this statement to FOX Sports:
"The Albuquerque Police Department is actively seeking UFC Fighter Jon Jones for questioning in regards to his possible involvement in a hit-and-run accident, near the intersection of Juan Tabo and Southern, in Southeast Albuquerque early this morning, April 26, 2015.
"A pregnant female in her 20s, who was the driver of a separate vehicle, was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.
"Officers attempted to contact Mr. Jones at his (Albuquerque) residence Sunday evening, but were unsuccessful. Officers attempted to contact Mr. Jones at his residence Sunday evening, but were unsuccessful. We have also reached out to his lawyer, but as of now, have not heard back.
"The Albuquerque Police Department is asking Mr. Jones to please contact us as we continue to investigate by calling (505) 242-COPS (2677)"

I am pretty sure Jones is laying low until the coke is gone from his system, then will reemerge and all will be swept under the rug. Hit and run is a serious crime. I can understand leaving the scene then returningbut unable to be contacted in this time where communication is the center of everything. BULLSHIT he is coked to the max.
What does the UFC have against pregnant women? First rampage now jones. He should blame it on (insert energy drinks, bud light, dehydration). I know, I know innocent until proven guilty but fuck him when they eventually pay that woman off and this all goes away.

Thank God his family was so happy to take him out of rehab early. Jones obviously has a lot of responsibility here, but the UFC his family etc are all a bunch of enabling assholes. Because nobody wants to hold his feet to the fire, Jones will continue to self destruct it will likely hurt others as we're seeing here. Typical escalation an addict behavior. But of course all the naysayers continued on and on about the how Jones just likes to party a little bit. About how there is some amount of cocaine that's okay to do while you're a professional athlete.
I mean any of you doubters out there who do not believe this is a cover up go out hit someone and leave the scene, see if they just issue a statement, I can assure you they would be issuing a warrant. The UFC knows where Jones is, he isn't where a phone wont reach and if he is its because his system is so fucked up on coke that hes trying to clear it. Its been numerous hours to make contact and he has yet to, this will be swept under the rug by dana white and in the end, Jones will end up like every other addict with the UFC saying we didn't know how bad, NEWS FLASH! Leaving the scene of a accident is a crime on any level and avoiding the police is another, they know how bad he is.
You are very well informed on how the accident in question went down, and what caused it. I'm sure the APD would love to have your knowledge of events, why don't you get in touch and tell them what went down.

your point is not lost on me. However my opinion will be unchanged with or without this accident. The risk/reward of the original cocaine abuse as well as the lack of accountability by anyone that "cares" about Jones is setting him up for failure.
And since we're using sarcasm to make a point this morning, go ahead and explain to me a reasonable explanation for Jones disappearing for the scene of an accident for this extended period of time.
I don't have one, but I'm not the one offering up speculation on to what happened and why. I'm happy to wait and see, then make a judgement once the facts are all presented.
As for the cocaine abuse, as I said in the thread before, all we know for sure is he used cocaine once 3 weeks out from a training camp. Unless you consider all use of cocaine for recreational purposes abuse, then that is more speculation on your part. It may very well be that he is a cocaine addict, however, with no evidence to suggest that other than one failed test, I find it crass to call someone an addict without further proof.
Why does FRB have to have ethical responsibilities? Does he have any financial gain for tweeting rumors that often end up being true?
If people don't like him, simply don't follow him. It's not like he's a main publisher for a main mma website that you're forced to see his articles.

So...from what I gather....Jon was high...crashed a rental car...legged it and is now in hiding or has been in hiding?

His original tweet was the jon caused a 3 car smash, ran, was in custody , found with cocaine, and out of 187.
He wants the kudos for being first to break these news stories (I dunno why, stroke his ego I guess) but look at how he back tracks when more things come to light.
First he changed his story saying he ran with it too early
