Yeh but it would also be nice if X amount of the stuff he posted wasn't bullshit and spread like wildfire. He's got 20k followers and has made some bullshit claims in the past In the hope of garnering more followers. No proof. Just his sources.
This is undeniable. Am I the only person here who has experienced this kind of thing before? I feel like I'm in the FRB fan club surrounded by people who still think what he says is always correct
That'd be great. My only problem with him is his pretending to not, in effect, be a reporter. I wouldn't try to get into some war with him about it though. It's just my take on it. I feel his stuff is interesting like the rumour mill of middleeasy. He seems to write about what hes hearing behind the scenes. It may not be correct or it might not be, but its quite interesting.
I think a lot of the hate he gets is from people thinking its always fact. Hes not a journalist. He doesn't pretend to be one. He writes about things hes hearing. I dont know if he lies on purpose to get twitter followers or anything but the guy has broken a lot of stories. Even Ariel Helwani was wondering who his source was because he was getting stories before Ariel said them on air and he thought there was a mole in his show.

I dunno, I just get the feeling he posts stuff hoping it's a fact a d he gets the scoop without any real validation for reasons unknown to me. Without a doubt he has broke some good stories in the past and this may be one of them. But he's also posted complete bullshit as fact and it's hard to fOr get / take him seriously. And he posts it in the hope it comes true not as satire or a gimmick. The gmick comes into play if he's wrong. And I hope he's wrong on this one. But like I said it's bones who knows.
All I know is in 4 hours bones has gone from a coke head who ran away from the police and something about a pregnant woman to fuck knows what.

If this guy was involved in a hit and run, UFC needs to do the professional thing by taking his belt and banning him from the fighting scene. There is no excuse what so ever for anyone to leave the scene of an accident. Celebrity or not. If you can't clean up your life for your career, you don't deserve to have one.

The Albuquerque Police Department is actively seeking UFC Fighter Jon Jones for questioning in regards to his possible involvement in a hit-and-run accident, near the intersection of Juan Tabo and Southern, in Southeast Albuquerque early this morning, April 26, 2015.
A pregnant female in her 20s, who was the driver of a separate vehicle, was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.
Officers attempted to contact Mr. Jones at his residence Sunday evening, but were unsuccessful. We have also reached out to his lawyer, but as of now, have not heard back.
The Albuquerque Police Department is asking Mr. Jones to please contact us as we continue to investigate by calling(505) 242-COPS (2677).
More information will be provided when it becomes available.

Man, this was a rollercoaster ride today.
He's only facing a misdemeanor hit and run charge. He's probably not hurt and will fight at UFC 187.

Oh, I get that he denies it. But the denial is disingenuous IMO. I understand he doesn't work for a news agency, but in every other respect what he does is reporting, and calling it "entertainment" is just a convenient way to dodge ethical responsibilities.
I do understand that social media seemingly creates this opportunity for "entertainment" that wasn't there before the internet, and that what some people do on twitter, etc. will fall under this category. But it's clear that FRB is always looking for stories and looking to break them first. And he has conflicted feelings about what he does---otherwise he would never backtrack or apologize or take any responsibility at all. But he DOES from time to time---exactly the way a reporter would do.
Matrix dodge if that's how it plays out.
At some point you've got to count your lucky stars...
