Superman for the win! I remember owning a well worn copy before I start collecting, no idea what happened to it.

18) Name the first comic where each page was a 'splash page', that is, the page was only one panel which filled the whole page.
1988 Stan Lee and John Buscema's Silver Surfer: Judgement Day

Will have to look into that Thor issue as Simonson's was also in the 80's

As you can see the blurb on the back cover ... perhaps the trivia question should be worded as first graphic novel. Will check Simonson's Thor run... the buicken!

Thor 380. (Thor visionaries, v5 posted in the pdm) Mjolnir's song June 1987. just re-read it, one of the best Thor issues ever. But, the last page is broken into a 4 panel zoom in of the same scene. It makes perfect sense artistically, like a fade out in movie finale or the end of a song.

Cool. I had time now and was about to check, decided to check in first here.

So I guess the trivia q should be reworded as first graphic novel or Stan counted that 4 panel page against it

Thank you!

Who is one of the first, if NOT the first, openly gay character in comic books in the "Bronze Age" (1970 - 1985)?

Note: Marvel Comics' Northstar debuted in Uncanny X-Men #120 (Apr 1979) and in Alpha Flight #106 (1992), Northstar reveals he is gay. He is not the character I'm thinking of ... his reveal was past the Bronze Age also
