Salmon seasoned with salt, pepper, and finished with lemon juice with a mix of veggies and some whole wheat pasta drenched in a sauce I made from sauteing red pepper flakes and garlic in olive oil, then adding some chopped parsley from the yard along with the juice from most of a lemon and a little water leftover from cooking the pasta.

The salmon was cooked perfectly, but the sauce stole the show.

That sauce sounds great. I think I'll try that the next time we have pasta.

Soup from supper last night.

Cubed steak that was boiled for 3 hours with garlic cloves and sweet onion then the stock was used for soup base. Corn on the cob, yam, green bean, bok choi, potato, green onion salt and pepper.

Went for a two hour bike ride with Rex and when we got home Belle had made brunch.

English muffin, toast, rice, hash brown, scrambled egg, sausage patties, bacon, hamburger patties, logganisa, salad, sopas (the macaroni soup), lettuce, tomato, cheese and onion.

The glorious brunch sandwich I made with three separate meat products (sausage, bacon and hamburger)

How the hell do you go back to work after eating that? And how long is your lunch and where do I apply?
I work for the city and we have a half hour lunch. That day I had to drive across the city to my work site and that took another 45 minutes on top of my break.

Fresh salad picked from the garden. NZ spinach, kale, carrots and snap peas. Added yellow pepper avocado chia seeds, dried crannberries and pumpkin seeds.

Butterflied hen seasoned with olive oil salt n pepp, garlic powder, paprika, basil and parsley (people always over season chicken. Don't need the basil and parsley more for presentation) with halved carrots.

Bourbon and ginger but yeah I love my mules. There's only one type of ginger beer I can find in Alberta that makes the perfect mule. Not cheap it's $8 for a 4 pack of bottles but delish!

Has the perfect balance of sweet and spice. All the others I've tried are too spicy or too sweet or no carbonation

I'll have to see if they sell that here. Is it at the grocery store?

Onetrickpony @Onetrickpony you obviously eat well!! Who does the cooking? You or the missus?

I locked down a good wife we share the duties. Well oiled machine.
Both of us. Though truth be told she does more than me. It's probably about 65/35 her/me. She tries to get up every morning to make me coffee, breakfast and lunch for work. I have to skulk quickly and quietly out of the bedroom in the morning so I can do it. We are both competent in the kitchen and like to try new things.

Off the top of my head, I don't remember, but I live in the PNW. LOL @ farmed fish!
My stomping grounds! I grew up on the west coast. Commercial fished for a lot of years (hence being anti farmed fish) of I had to guess it would be coho or pink salmon. Looks good and perfectly cooked, so many over cook fish.

Salmon season right now so we are getting fresh daily, bloody expensive though. Bought a 10 lb sockeye 2 weeks ago $75 i damn near had a heart attack.

If you can get sockeye on the cheap it is bar none the best but pink salmon is right up there and you can usually get a couple decent fish for under $20.

Best sauce for the bbq is simply brown sugar and soy sauce. Salmon doesn't need much flavoring.

I guarantee it is either coho, sockeye, or copper river. I rarely buy anything else.
