Its the Connor McGregor of storms. Starts off strong then dies out by the third. I wouldn't worry too much

They said not to worry about the rain storm in 2016 and it flooded most of south Louisiana ...even places that aren't in flood zones.

I still can't believe they're actually giving every second hurricane a dude's name now. It used to be a nice chuckle hearing about Hurricane Anita etc. There's just such little fun left to be had in this old world, you can't have a laugh anymore. Might cause offense. Even the simple pleasures, like giving fierce storms female names are gone. It's all gone now except in the dim memories of old men.
I knew this was coming so I took off...

Russia has famously claimed that maybe global warming would help Siberia become more accessible for use like farming. Incentives...
Likewise, hoping for hurricanes to alter our global warming policy is unlikely as the outcome is likely less hurricanes...and with it the incentives do not align towards a policy change due to hurricanes.

You could send a cat 5 every 10 years and people would likely prefer that over the previous. It's really not likely to alter the policy.

That is a pretty different case though.
Not sure if I am, but if, maybe two admins trying to troll me for expressing serious concerns could be part of it.
We are talking about a guy who presumably changed policy based on a picture of Afghani women decades ago. Who knows what can trigger his reaction. Facts might not be it.
