i highly recommend clicking on the forums that yoy are interested in (cageside, offtopic, etc), and then clicking "watch forum." then when someone posts a new thread in whichever forums you follow, it will pop up in the notifications screen.
i think most people probably view the forums the way everyone has for years at the other sites, but i dont at all. i see EVERY thread coming in. when i sign in, i scroll through notifications. click on the threads im interested in (even if im not ready to read them), clikc watch on those threads. and then whenever im using the site, all the threads i want to read show up in the "unread threads" section. i literally never go to the forums bc im already watching the threads i want
of course, u run the risk of being too agressive and not watching threads that u would have wanted to read later on. so if u want, u can always click on the forums to see the threads in the forums that have the most recent acivity. but regardless, even if you peruse the forum the same way you'd have to at every other forum on the net, its worth taking advtange of the "watch forum" feature imo
