Wife and I got this alert on our phones before the power went out. I've only ever gotten it once in my life, and that was literally minutes before a tornado passed right through the area I was in.

It's sent out by all mobile carriers when a tornado threat is imminent.

She went to the walk-in closet for an hour, I couldn't be bothered and went back to sleep on our bed. Thankfully the shutters kept me safe.

I was just reading something about this the other day. The crane operators didn't move them because they would've had to shut down their construction sites earlier and that would've caused them to lose more money.

Let's hope their decision to be tightwads doesn't kill anybody.

I'm watching Fox news, The Weather Channel Suburban is just cruising down the street in 3' water.
