Well, speculating of course, but what is the role of that woman? Did any of you know her?Everyone’s a mess right now trying to process this.
The truth lies somewhere in the middle. Having a gun in that situation wouldn't have protected you. Similarly, someone that determined to kill people wouldn't have been deterred by gun laws. Any large public gathering makes people susceptible to a major escalation. In the last year we're seen people at festivals killed in large number by bombs, and vehicles. Guns aren't the common denominator of mass killings, crazy people are.As in one side saying don't make them accessible as things like this will happen and the other side saying these things happen so I need to protect myself?
Logically speaking...if all guns suddenly become illegal and it's a federal mandate that they are all to be turned in - who is more likely to hand over their weapons? Law-abiding citizens or criminals? Obviously you will get resistance from both sides, but the argument makes sense.Again I don't know stats/numbers but I just can't see that what you posted is true. To say it does nothing but the above seems wrong.
My heart goes out to anyone effected by this. You have to wonder how Aldean is handling this, fucking crazy.Sounds like 58 dead and over 500 injured now.
I get that side but I don't like such extreme measures from either side. I'd never suggest guns be banned nation wide. Having said that having full auto guns available seems equally retarded. If a civilian goes in to buy a silencer they need to be questioned by authority.Logically speaking...if all guns suddenly become illegal and it's a federal mandate that they are all to be turned in - who is more likely to hand over their weapons? And I'm not making the argument. Just giving you an example how this particular scenario can be used from both sides to support their stance on the issue.
If memory serves Australia's compliance in their buy back program was between 20-30% of the guns actually in public ownership.Logically speaking...if all guns suddenly become illegal and it's a federal mandate that they are all to be turned in - who is more likely to hand over their weapons? In Canada full auto was available to the public until 1996. When I say that, I mean you could walk into Canadian Tire and buy a machine gun.I get that side but I don't like such extreme measures from either side. I'd never suggest guns be banned nation wide. Interesting info. Just to be clear I've stated multiple time here already I'm not up on stats and so on and don't think for a second it's like the movies. In Canada full auto was available to the public until 1996. When I say that, I mean you could walk into Canadian Tire and buy a machine gun.
Suppressors are legal in every G7 country except Canada, in some European countries they're mandatory (People who live next to shooting ranges or in areas where hunting occurs demand them) A suppressed gun still runs over 100db. In the U.S. you need to go through a somewhat lengthy process to buy a suppressor, and even then they run in the 1000's of dolllars and require specific ammunition to work at all. It's not at all like the movies.
I just saw this on Reddit so I'm hoping it isn't true but ISIS is claiming responsibility???
That's the beauty of social engineering.I'm not sure how things are in ONT but here in BC gums are still something that doesn't sit well with the vast majority of people.
I'm listening...That's the beauty of social engineering.
Best to read through thread here man, good info.I just saw this on Reddit so I'm hoping it isn't true but ISIS is claiming responsibility???
Islamic state claims Las Vegas shooting, says attacker recent convert to Islam
This can't be true right?
I think one of our fellow members is who he is talking about when he said his brother was nice to his kids when they went out thereFfs... I literally got gut rot watching that. I feel horrible for that man and his entire family as they will be bombarded with bs until those fucks get something they feel is worth running with. Every word and a room with be under the microscope hunting for a headline.

You'll have to humor me. Why would you want to own a gun?I'm listening...
For me personally? I'd only buy a gun if I was going to pursue hunting. Protection in my house may be like a 5% factor but even then that's doubtful. You'll have to humor me. Why would you want to own a gun?
No role. She was in the Philippines when this happened. She was his girlfriend. More like elderly companion really. They traveled the world together. Gambled together. He brought her around for family functions. She’s a very sweet lady in fact.Well, speculating of course, but what is the role of that woman? Did any of you know her?
Women can make men do crazy things sometimes.
I could have told you that.
And that's completely fair. Hunting, and in very rare instances self defense. I might add target shooting to the list too for myself personally. But we can agree those are logical reasons to own a gun, right? For me personally? I'd only buy a gun if I was going to pursue hunting. I feel like this is some trap your leading me into but sure, I'll go along with you for now.And that's completely fair. Hunting, and in very rare instances self defense. I might add target shooting to the list too for myself personally. But we can agree those are logical reasons to own a gun, right?
