It's odd. Reminds me of Adam Dunn a bit. Dunn would either strike out, walk or hit a bomb. But Dunn never came close to having the batting average that Judge has.
I was living in Chicago a few years ago when Dunn was playing for the Sox, he had struggled the year before & I remember him doing an interview there & was asked what he'll do to turn things around, he said had started working out for the first time. I don't know if he was just trolling but sports radio guys hit the roof

Dunn was awesome. The Big Donkey.

I remember during a rain delay he called in to Marty on the banana phone. Shit was funny.

The Dbacks are in Minneapolis tonight to start a series vs the Twins. Its 3-3 bottom of the sixth.

Mn CF Byron Buxton's speed is on display in full force tonight. He hit a gapper and hauled ass to get a stand-up three-bagger his first AB. His second time up he hit one out there again off the wall, and kicked in the jets for a inside the park HR. AB #3 he pulled a soft liner down the LF line and raced to second base for a 2-bagger. He needs a single baby! It will be a challenge but I really hopes he gets his cycle. Buxton started so terrible the first half at the plate. Since the break he's shown big improvement hitting.

Out of anybody in the league I'd take Buxton to play CF defensively. He should be a lock for gold glove. But you never know with how thats decided these days. He's a fielding highlight reel. If its in the park he will race to get it. He's slammed into the wall making plays more times than I can count.

Adam Dunn was very underrated. he looked awkward at the plate and struck out a lot so nobody cared about him but he would always hit 40 HR and get on base a lot. that's a good player.

Votto of course is on another level and criminally underrated too. the only season where he wasn't a beast was when I had him on fantasy baseball.

Love Buxton's D, but you need to see more of Billy Hamilton in center. Amazing.
Ah yeah, Hamilton runs like a deer. I hope they both get gold gloves in the different leagues.

I taught my seven year old about rally caps tonight. We put them on and Sano clobbered two home runs. We wore them until MN was up 8-3 lol. Good start for MN vs ARZ. Greinke is on the mound tomorrow so they win probably.

Is there a more annoying guy on the radio than the Indians guy? They keep playing his audio during quick pitch and he freaks out all the time. He's usually all over Zimmer's nuts.

Isn't he hitting like .210?
close, but he has been on fire this last month or so & still plenty of pop in his bat. inconsistent playing time was hurting him IMO.

great clubhouse guy as well, sad to see him go.

they got him for next to nothing.

he will be valuable in the postseason. the Dodgers have mostly young, unproven outfielders. you never know who's gonna have a big slump in october. Granderson can step up and hit a HR like it's nothing.

So the Red Sox would be 17 games behind the dodgers if they were in the same division?

Sounds about right. The Dodgers are killing it. And lately it's without Kershaw or Darvish.

I had to recalculate that a few times as I thought for sure that can't be right.....that means the diamond backs aren't as terrible as one might think.....wrong division

And he follows that up with a RBI single to shallow left center. He has all three RBIs so far.
