General 2021-2022 NHL Season Thread

Couple random "hot takes"...

Being a Yankees fan I hate anything Boston except the Brady Patriots, Celtics (love the shamrock), Dunkin Donuts, and the Bruins. Big time Chara fan and was sad to see him leave. Also love Marchand eventhough every other team hates him lol. Those two along with Bergeron, Lucic, and Rask was a fucking Murderer's Row...

And the Canes' black sweaters are pretty nice...

Three or four years ago I went to a Panthers game. They were playing the Bruins. My wife and I just happened to be sitting next to a family (married couple with adult daughter) of Bruins fans. I know fuck all about hockey but I ask the guy if he's also a Patriots fan (at the time Brady was still in NE). Guy replies "Oh yeah!" thinking I'm making friendly conversation with him.

Four beers later the Panthers are up 3-0 or 4-0 so I start talking shit about Brady and the Pats, saying how Boston teams just have no idea how to play in South Florida.

His wife tries to correct me a few times saying I'm talking about the wrong sport. I answer, "This game is already over so we may as well start talking about something competitive."

By the end of the game the wife and adult daughter looked like they wanted to dump a beer on my head and the father just looked like he never wanted to attend a sporting event in South Florida again. Oh and Ric Flair was in attendance so I was WHOOing until I lost my voice. My wife almost walked out on me at least twice.

Good times.

Tie Domi was a legit cunt. He and probert and mcsorley fought a good amount of times
Mcsorley talked about his “enforcer” role as a protector of the Edmonton oilers back in the day and it is fun listening to his rationale
