General 2023 MLB Thread

USA, trailing 3-1 in the 7th.
1st and 2nd, nobody out.

Trout flies out to RF
Goldschmidt GIDP after swinging at a ball in the dirt.

Brutal

Schwarber!!

After 4 or 5 loud fouls, Schwarber does what he always does. Nuts one over the wall.

Turner follows up with a single. The rally is on!

Japan 3
USA 2

Top of the 8th. Nobody out.

Yu Darvish on the bump.
Ohtani warming up.

I think we are going to get Ohtani vs Trout.
In the 9th.
In a 1 run game.

For fucks sake Goldschmidt has the most non-stretch at 1st I've ever seen.

Almost gifted them another free hit.

Into the 9th we go...
Ohtani vs Trout
USA down 1

This has been a Great world baseball classic. Mexico has proven to have world class players now and Japan will prove that it is the best in the world if it wins.

It is nice to see the WBC become popular I watched the first one and the whole tournament almost got eliminated at one point.

It was a dumb move to not air this WBC for free on network TV or like amazon prime it could have gotten a ton of AD money and exposure for mlb

The US had their powerhouses up and didn’t deliver
That’s life and congratulations to the Japanese

As an angels fan it is nice to see two of our big stars in the final trout and ohtani.

It sucks that these guys play on the west coast and never make the playoffs.

I rarely get to see them play. Studs.
