I don't recall the specific number to stop at but i used to feed and measure the run off. Once the PPM reached a certain level, no more food, water only. Once the PPM of the run off gets too high you will start to clog nutrient uptake but by then you prob would have burnt the.

As an example, You can have 500 (made up number) ppm going in for three feedings and have the run off for each one increase in PPM. The feeding leaves behind salts and other total disolves solids. Thats why we flush. Its important to know WHEN though and not just ball park it.

There are many opionions on that. The plant will continue to vegitate during the beginning of flower and you dont want to ignore that so weaning of your veg nuts is normal. If you look at General Hydroponics 3 part growth chart, they use the same three products from veg to flower, just varying the amount of each on for which phase the plant is in. While most companies have these charts for their product line, they are just a base program. You will learn over time the needs of your specific environment and strains.
You should be measuring ppm of your nutes prior to feeding and then compare them with the run off. Once that number gets to a preset value, flush. The.mn monior your flushed water to actually tell how effective your flush was. The run off after your first watering post flush, should barely be hiGher than your feed PpM. Keeping up on your run off will tell you when you need to flush. Also make sure your actually flushing with enough water. Its more than what you feed them.

Bro Ive used my wifes staright iron. I think 3 ton will work, obviously 20 will probably work best.

Here is my winter science project. I thought it would be dead by now, but somehow it isn't. I started this from seed in September, then triggered flowering October 1st. With the cold weather, metabolism has slowed considerably. It might be on life support soon, but for now its hanging in there. This is another one of my crosses, stardawg x tahoe.

I always flushed before switching to flowering nutrients. Not a full week, just a nice flush, then switched but as when soil dried out.

These are two charts from GH for their Flora line. One using grow and bloom nutes as baseline nutes. The other adds a third type of micro product. Both schedules show that in the beginning of flower, they recieve lower doeses of veg nutes because they need it. They dont switch to flower as soon as you change your lighting schedule.

While waiting a preset number of days and doing something because it worked before may continue to work, think its important to understand the WHY behind the reason we do things. Understanding what your doing and turning out a consistant product will set your end produnt apart from others. These days anybody can grow weed but not everyone understands it. Really, consistency is is the hard part. Different strains act differently, what work for one, might not work on another. Thats why its really important to understand what your doing, which I believe you do.

I also keep logs of my feeding schedule. TDS/PM/PPM for my nutes, in and out with notes. It's amazing what you compile over time. You will start to see mistakes you made in the past and can help yourself plan for the future.

I went to my favorite dispensary last night. I get head of the line privileges and 10% off for being a Veteran. My old trimming guy runs the place so its like family when i go in. Came up on 5 grams.

This Raw Garden brand is puting out some great sauces at a really good price. Actually everything is really cheap there. Shit im supposed to be changing the throttle body on my wifes Pasaat, but just been having dabs and TMAACin.

Watch the PPM. I shit you not, it acts like cholesterol in humans lol. It clogs nutrient uptake. When we flush, the run off leaves rings of salt. That needs to be flushed out. Thats how you know it work.

What is the total PPM of your what you feed with? Its hard to say when that is cuz it varies. You just have to monitor. When you are coming off a flush, measure your feed PPM, lets say you feed with 1800ppm. Your run off even after a flush will be a few hundred higher. Every feeding after even if you use the same 1800 ppm, the run off will increase in PPM with every feeding. Its hard to say what the total should be before another flush. You really need to listen to the plants at the same time. They will tell you lol. In a perfect world when you flush the PPM should be that of your flushing solution but it will never happen cuz you cant get everything out.

I dont really want to give you bad numbers to go by. Just an idea for you to keep an eye out for. Just log your feeding data and you will see patterns starting in your first grow. Its up to you to find your baseline and grow yourself.

When I checked on them yesterday, Both plants had developed fully yellow leaves (3 or 4 leaves), I picked one up and a couple leaves fell off
I think they need more more magnesium but not sure

They are all pretty dry so feeding tonight and see how they do

Cool. Im interested to see. One thing I learned from growing multiple strains at once is that they have different nutrient needs. Some get sickly after feeding 1400 ppm, others will take 1900 no problem. I always looked for ones that I could feed as much as possible, the ones that will handle high PPM's. Then feed them as often as the PPM differential (PPM in minus PPM out) would allow. Its ok to force feed them, but you have to be really careful. If you understand those things you should have a better handle on what's really going on.

If you aren't looking at that your guessing. Lots of people get away with it but thats the type of shit that keeps me up at night. I hate being done with a crop and wondering if the girls would have handled more. Again, there are many ways to do this. This is just how I knew what to feed my girls, and knowjng there that I did everything I could. It also keeps consistency over multiple crops.

I'm going to be a better one this week

Ph was 6.4 and runoff was 6.2 for most
One had runoff at 6.6 so I'm flushing it next watering
