I know it's MMA, but that is really bad match making, derailing the momentum of someone who could be one of your bigger "special attraction" type stars.

Two sides to every coin though. People could say he's being protected like McGregor and they're hand picking his opponents. You really can't win.

He's absolutely new to the sport. Has a 2-3 record before this fight. He's had one fight in MMA in the last 6 years before tonight. Then they put him against a 10-1 grappler. The Mahoef fight was exactly the kind of match he should be put in. A good and well known name who is not going to drag him to the ground.

It's not protecting as much as it is matching a guy correctly. 1 fight in 6 years, if people would call it "protecting" him to match him with someone who has equal experience it'd be silly. I see where you're coming from but in his case he's not a long time MMA fighter and should be matched as such despite his kickboxing background

Jensen reminds me of Nate Quarry. His movement is rigid and the way he throws strikes so.....I dont know how to put it.

Hey guys

Missed the first 2 rounds cuz of Newell

Anyone with a very quick breakdown of the first 2 and what they looked like? I have a lot of interest in Will Brooks and think he's the real deal but this seems like an even tough battle.
