The stand-alone movie they made is not too bad. Though made for TV, it actually played in some movie theaters. I saw it as a first date with my former coworker who was the one who got me into the TV series. She bought me a shirt that has the “high functioning sociopath” thing on it.

Not a fan of the way they wrapped up the umbrella academy, probably the weakest season. Felt way too rushed with only 6 episodes.

Another not new but new to me. Came passed this show. Its a lot like House but with the law. James Woods is a slick top lawyer in Cali but when he defends the wrong person he leaves his practice to work as the DA with his crack team of young prosecutors.

Can't believe this is over already. I love horror series and this one, although at some points cheesy is super addictive. The above cast is made up of a psychologist, a priest and a tech wiz. They are hired by the Vatican to disprove or prove supernatural occurrences. It dives into the ultimate battle of good vs evil. As an added bonus, the psychologist is a fine as hell little russian minx(dont worry no terrible accent).

I started this show and really wanted to like it...was more interested when I saw Michael Emerson was in it.

But I had to tap out after a few episodes when it became blatantly obvious they were making the white male the bad guy in every. single. thing. Big bad white man going after women, POC, and more. At first it was subtle, then they had an episode where the plot was how hospitals give POC worse treatment because racism.

Yeah...no thanks.

Stop now if you haven't. It gets worse every season.

I watched the final season after it came out and it was absolute horseshit. It was only like six episodes but even then, at least 4-4.5 of them were filler that had zero to do with the story.

Wife and I watched all the seasons, yeah, we weren't happy with this finale.

I recently started a show called Channel Zero - was on SyFy a few years ago. It doesn't seem to have typical SyFy hokey special effects and is psychological horror rather than science fiction. I think it's an anthology a la American Horror Story in that each season is a new story / cast.

The first season is very Mr. Robot-esque (IMO) in that it's quite slow, the pace is a bit wonky, the way scenes are shot are weird (characters in the bottom third of the shot instead of center), a lot of quiet, pensive looks on faces, etc. Not sure if all that makes sense.

The first couple episodes are a bit of a slog to get through as the characters don't seem super endearing, but episode 3 picks up quite a bit and shows a bit of promise. I'm sticking with it to see how it goes.
